New Photos From 'The Spirit'

Everyone still has mixed feelings about The Spirit, and I don't know how many of us will actually line up to see it this Christmas -- but you can't deny that, visually, it's awfully fun to look at. A whole bunch of new photos have appeared over on MovieWeb, including the one of Eva Mendes I've posted above. And browsing through them, I feel myself relenting on its goofiness and Sin City color palette. For me, it's all about the hair, the clothes, and the fantastic lipstick. I may see this for the sole reason of studying and borrowing Sand Saref's entire look for my every day blogging attire. Well, and shirtless Spirit looks pretty darn good too -- and because it's not fair to post a photo just for the guys, I'm posting Gabriel Macht below. Like I said, there's some tasty eye candy for everyone. It might be worth a giant wrench and toliet battle just to experience some lushly painted noir.

I agree, unless I see something in Entertainment Weekly that blows my mind about this movie, it's certainly not going to be something I go to the theater to see. It's problem is going to be the similarity to The Watchmen, just from the trailers we've seen. Doesn't matter if you've read the books, people just seeing the trailers are going to get them confused. At least they aren't coming out too closely together.
I will see the Watchmen at the theater, no matter how much of a jerk the director is.

Actually, from my experience, Zack Snyder is a really nice guy. I've met him twice, seen him at too many ComicCon panels to count, and have always wished he was my best friend forever.
Even if he decides to goof up the "Watchmen" ending, I'll still think he's nice, just...led astray. :P

Despite my disappointment at what we've seen of this film so far, you can't deny the look is hot. This is straight off the cat walk for this falls fashion and makeup trends. The 40's looks are back, those fantastic lips and dark sultry eyes. The man candy ain't bad either....
