Poll: Your Most Anticipated Blockbuster of 2009

Pretty soon, the studios will bring the full court press in terms of marketing their big 2009 blockbusters. We've already seen Warner Bros. and Paramount try to one-up each other with regards to pushing Watchmen and Star Trek, and I've heard debut trailers for X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Night at the Museum 2 are literally right around the corner. Angels & Demons has already shoveled out a teaser, and I'm sure Harry Potter is just waiting for all this Twilight nonsense to go away before he starts bringing the pain. As per usual, we're not even done with 2008, and yet all we seem to care about is 2009. Go figure.
We'll probably run this poll a couple of times prior to the real beginning of the season, but we're curious to see what your radar looks like a few months out. Not all of these films have begun their big push yet, but it'll be interesting to see which ones are your most anticipated based on the very little we've seen so far. Below are, in our opinion, the 18 biggest blockbusters of 2009. If we left off your favorite, feel free to write her in down below. (Oh, and that's an image of my most anticipated blockbuster of 2009 up top.)

this is the order
watchmen
terminator its about time u stopped making the same movie 3 times and finally made the story t2 should have been.
i HATED transformers im curious if they fix it.
G.I. Joe i have my doubts by casting terrible acting channing tatum and the i cant take him serious marlon wayans so i dont expect much buttttttttt g.i.joe was like one of the big cartoons for me along with he-man so i am required to be excited for this movie.
another fast and the furious ughhh but ill watch it
wolverine ughh the first 3 xmens were crap so im kinda off this movie. ill watch it but to say im excited i cant say that. maybe if they finally learn to include the most interesting characters (yes im one of those annoyed at the fact in 3 movies they couldnt introduce gambit) maybe ill get excited again everything else i either dont know or dont care

Where is "Public Enemies"?
I would not expect it to be everyone's first choice but if Richie/Downey's "Sherlock Holmes" is on the list, I think Mann/Depp/Bale's pic should be there too.

My thoughts exactly. I'm actually looking forward to seeing "Public Enemies" more than any of the films listed.

A better poll would have been to rank the pictures, as I'm sure many had no trouble with #1 but the rest would have been interesting. So my order would be:
1) Watchmen
2) Star Trek
3) Terminator: Salvation
4) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
5) X-Men Origins: Wolverine
6) Avatar
7) Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
8) 2012
9) Angels & Demons
10) Monsters vs. Aliens
11) Night at the Museum
12) Sherlock Holmes
13) Fast & Furious
14) G.I. Joe
15) Pixar's Up
16) Land of the Lost
17) Ice Age 3
18) Hannah Montana: The Movie

While there are many a movie i can't wait to see next year, the only movie that is dominating my brain and train of thought is "WATCHMEN". I have never, to this level, anticipated a movie so badly as i have this one. It is safe to say that "WATCHMEN" IS '09, period.

have to say harry potter as it was supposed to be released two weeks from now but stupid ass warner bros moved it till next year so anticipation for that thing will be at a fever pitch... at least for us HP fans anyways. i gotta put angels & demons up there too as i loved the da vinci code, book and movie, and angels & demons is more suited to the big screen. transformers 2... two words... megan fox.
never heard of watchman, trailers look weak, but i am looking forward to it due to all the hype. i want to see what all the fuss is about.

I know I'll sound like a hopeless internet complainer, but I'm not especially interested in any of these films. A few sound okay to me, like Sherlock Holmes, but there isn't a can't-wait-to-see-it movie in the bunch. I especially hate that they are doing a Transformers sequel...unless they drop an EMP bomb and turn all the robots off in the first five minutes.

Inglorious Bastards!
Blasphemy it's not there!
After seeing the Monsters vs Alien's trailer, I'm looking forward to it. Up I'm not even that interested in, which is odd considering how much I couldn't WAIT for WALL-E to come out, but I assume I'll go see it and enjoy it.
Watchmen and Sherlock Holmes also seem like things I'm going to have to see.

Now that you put it that way, this next year's big movies seem really underwhelming. After back to back Wall-E and Ratatouille, there's no way Pixar doesn't have my vote. There's a possibility that any one of the movies on that list won't be good. and a likelihood none of them will be great. I have more confidence in Pixar to bring me a classic big budget film than I do in any other studio, director, or franchise on that list.
Withouth hesitation, Up.
