There's a brand spanking new Terminator: Salvation trailer arriving next week in front of The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Entertainment Tonight (along with director McG) will introduce it to the world next Tuesday on TV (we assume it will appear online at the same time). But before it arrives in full, ET did a little sneak preview of the trailer last night and that little sucker squirmed its way online today. There's not a whole lot to go by, but I'm definitely interested in learning more about the giant robot that shows up to play house at the end. Check out the preview below, then let us know what you think of the flick so far. Will McG come through with a special sorta sequel, or are you still not feeling it?
Terminator: Salvation strikes on May 22.

I gotta admit my jaw dropped when I saw the Terminator at the very end of that.

Looks great. I have high hopes for this... Sure, people like to rag on McG (his name is a non-issue so far as I am concerned) for his previous films... But as I like to point out, Cameron was the "genius" behind Piranha 2: The Spawning.
People grow, plenty of great directors made lousy films at the beginning, middle or end of their careers. I'm all to happy to give this guy a shot, especially considering that every single one of us was dying to see this movie the minute we walked out of T2.

I'm not sure what you mean, Sabrina, but if you mean what I think you mean, I only meant that we were all blown away by the future scenes in T2 and have every since wondered what a movie about the future war would be like. Regardless of the content of the series or T3, that hope for a Terminator set in the future has remained with me ever since and is finally being fufilled now.
Dig?

I can't wait to see this movie. I was excited before the trailer and now I am jittery to see it. I would have never thought to put Christian Bale in a Terminator movie, but it is complete brilliance. I have a lot of hope for this film A lot of hope.

I am very very excited. I am such a huge Terminator fan, and while I was very nervous about this film at the beginning, McG has taken it very seriously and I have high hopes. This sneak preview is such a tease. I am beyond excited to see this film!

Without Arnold, James Cameron and the endoskelatatons, I guess were left with Transformers meets American Psycho. I'd be ok without them as long as Summer Glau and the rest of the crew from the Sarah Conner Chronicles were there. The show has become one of my favorites, not surprising b/c I've been a huge Terminator fan from the beginning. I was aprehensive at first because Schwarzeneggar was playing governator and not terminator, but that whole cast completely makes up for it.
One of the best parts is seeing the cyborgs in human form, with an actor playing them. It looks like now (in 4) that they are just supreme killing machines, who identify themselves by model and not by Cameron, Clamarti, the hot bitch in the red leather suit, etc...That takes a lot of what makes Terminator, Terminator. Those things behind this John Conner are most likely computer generated. Wish I could of seen more, but being the narcissistic American Psycho that he is, Bale made sure he was on top of the game. It's quite insulting that the great John Conner turns out to be a self absorbed pretty boy...bringing Furlong back into the picture would have been a much better move.
