Discuss: For Your Razzie Consideration

As the season marches on, 'for your consideration' ads litter the trades and various awards analysis websites. However, there aren't nearly enough campaigns for the year's worst performances. You have your obnoxious kids (Jaden Smith in The Day The Earth Stood Still, Logan Lerman in Meet Bill). You have your touched individuals who straddle the line between functional and, ahem, 'full retard' (Sophie Okonedo in The Secret Life of Bees, Omar Benson Miller in Miracle at St. Anna, David Morse in Hounddog). You've got your guys that give 'insane' a bad name (Jason Butler Harner in Changeling, Donny Osmond in College Road Trip), and you've got your girls that give English a bad name (Ahney Her in Gran Torino, Natalya Rudakova in Transporter 3).
Oh, and then there's just about the entire cast of The Happening. (If I had to pick just one person, though, I'd go with the gardener who babbles on about hot dogs. The man's priceless.)
So, unless we're about to let Witless Protection sweep the Razzies, what were some of your least favorite performances of the year?

Amanda Peet is an awful actress, and watching her condescend to her Southie character in What Doesn't Kill You effectively destroyed whatever slim chance that movie might have had of being something special.

a movie blog should be able to report without name calling. I mean seriously, how old are you, twelve? real professional.

If you clicked on that link or saw Tropic Thunder, you'd see that it was a quote referring to that film and appropriate in context. Given your knee-jerk shame streak, though, I'd say you haven't seen it and don't plan to, and that's fine by me.
Don't try to ignore the context of a phrase and cherry-pick a cause for a fit.

Jaden Smith's got nothing on Dakota Fanning in WotW, but I'm blaming that on the script.

Worst performance of the year?
Has to be the trees in M Night to remember Shalamars' The Happening.
Wooden, limp, emotionless.... I could go on all day about Marky Mark but I am hear to talk about the trees *cymbal crash*. I have seen much scarier antagonists in episodes of Doctor Who from the 60's. oooooooh the winds blowing, I'm scared.
In fact the whole movie should hopefully sweep up at the Razzies and M night to remember Shalamar can then begin a new chapter in his career, directing episodes of Mythbusters.

"strattle", WTF is strattle? Where, sir, di you learn to write. No sense in you making fun of the "girls that give English a bad name" when you yourself do..
The word I *think* you mean to use is straddle...it is an *actual* word.

Of course, in my rush to be funny and impatient, I forgot to check my post and typed "di you learn to write". Obviously I meant to type "did", instead of "di".
(Chango slowly backs down into his hole to avoid anymore embarassment)

88 MINUTES!!!!!!!!! the movie i mean. At least if its still eligable. honestly, it was one of the worst movies i've seen in years. Cheezy, predictable, and the acting talents that are usually reserved for that of elementery school performances by the students about friendship. Casting was just dumb. College girls really dont chase their professers if they're the age that Al Pacino is right now.
And for Comedy (and i hate to say this but), semi-pro. As much as i love Will Ferrell's movies, this was rather disappointing. not once did i break out in laughter as i did many times during movies like anchorman, Talledega nights, and more recently, Step Brothers. It seemed to me Will wanted to make a more serious movie, which is fine, but if he were to do that he shouldn't advertise it as if it is to be hilarious. Also, the ending was disappointing. Every character stays in the awful life they lived in except for a more minor character. Sorry Will, ur hilarious, but this just kinda sucked

How can you even say that Jason Butler Harner was bad?? His was one of the most compelling performances of the year! I think you need to go back and watch the movie again, this time ACTUALLY using your brain. The majority definitely cannot be wrong... he was great.

I'll give the RAZZIE to the DIRECTOR (in fact, LACK OF DIRECTION) and to the MAKE-UP/Characterization people, I felt like I was watching KABUKI theater or BUSTER kEATON performing. Robert Pattinson's RED LIPS and POWDERED face were awful!.
