Holiday Movie Junk: Star Wars Sheets
Filed under: Fandom, Holiday Movie Junk

You have to hand it to Pottery Barn. Not only did they recognize that a new generation needed Star Wars bedding, but they knew that their retro designs would awaken a desperate wave of nostalgia in adults -- so they've kindly offered these all the way up to Queen sized. Is there such a thing as a child-sized Queen bed? I honestly have no idea. If these can only fit on kid beds, well, now you know what to buy that little boy or girl geek in the house. We try to cater to all ages here, after all.
Those of you not brave enough to sleep on Star Wars sheets (and I really think you should; imagine how blissful and comforting it would be) can still indulge your fandom with a classy "A Long Time Ago " throw pillow, or a fuzzy Star Wars blanket. Wouldn't that combo be nice and cuddly on your favorite movie watching seat? I think so! Anyone who would come into your inner geeked-out sanctum and judge your decor doesn't deserve to share popcorn and surround sound with you anyway.

Once again, Elisabeth proves she is by far the biggest geek here - soon it will all make sense when she sheds her beautiful girl outer skin "Strange Invaders" style revealing the Comic Book Guy underneath.

The sad thing is that I found these Googling "X-Men sheets." When THOSE are released (are you listening, Pottery Barn?) then perhaps my true self would be revealed ... as a really pathetic chick who would sleep happily on a Wolverine pillow case.

Again, until I find out that you are the Tron Guy from the internet and not a girl that can dress up as Lara Croft - this gives me hope for Nerdom in 2009.

It sure is expensive to be a child geek these days. I remember having those same types of sheets as a child in the 80's. Although, I do like the idea of having Vaders saber on the wall, as shown in the ever chic Potter Barn ad.

My wife wound up getting these sheet for our six-year-old boy. It is still rather bizarre to walk into his bedroom and see the sheets I used to sleep on as a boy but cool nevertheless.

I definitely had those sheets, as well as similar Return of the Jedi sheets, as a kid.

Ummm.....funny. I was at mom's the other day and she pulled out this set...my ORIGINAL set that looks good as when she vacuum sealed it up 25 years ago. My kids loved them. Along with all the vintage Star Wars and Star Trek shirts she pulled out of the closet. Heck...my 11 year old wanted to be SPOCK this past Halloween!

Bogus. I have original Star Wars sheets and pillow case, and all PB did is copy the art style.

OMG! These look incredibly familiar. I remember a certain nephew's room completely decked out in Star Wars from the sheets to the curtains. Holy cow, I think I was just whisked back in time to a galaxy far far away.... Every time you post one of these I don't think it can possibly get any better and it always does.

That's awesome. I still have the top-sheet of my original stars wars sheet set. Works great for picnics, my friends always cast an envious look our way.

Dang! And I only have a king. But in all seriousness, really? Star Wars sheets? I'm definitely a geek in touch with her inner child but... oh well, i guess if you need sheets, you can do a lot worse than Star Wars sheets. Still... I prefer the toaster myself...

Which came first, Pottery Barn SW sheets, or the Big Bang Theory episode featuring Potter Barn SW sheets?

How did I miss these?! My brother had those sheets growing up. Christmas is past this year, but I may have to pick up a set of these regardless.
