Discuss: Your Coolest Movie-Related Gift

With all the different holidays in December, I'm sure a good majority of you received at least one gift at some point in the last week or so. And seeing as most of the folks who read this blog are serious movie nerds, we're guessing your gift(s) were related to movies in some way, shape or form. Perhaps you took our advice and purchased something from our should-be-award-winning Holiday Movie Junk series (which, due to its popularity, will continue into the new year under the title Movie Junk), or maybe you did your own research and smoked out a tasty little movie-related treat so random and so absurd that you're just dying to share it with someone else.
Me? I didn't get much. The only movie-related thing I really asked for was A Christmas Story on Blu-ray, which I received, but haven't watched yet. Like most of you, we kept our spending to a minimum this year. But I'm curious to hear what cool movie-related gear you all received. Let us know in the comments section below -- and try to tell us where it's from if it isn't obvious.

As someone who downloaded the entire collection of The Wire in October and was done before Thanksgiving, let me tell you: that's a solid 6 weeks of entertainment at best. It's so damned good you're going to get addicted and blow through it really fast then go into withdrawal. I promise you that.

This year I received "The Rules of the Game" 2-Disc set and it's wonderful. I watched the film and the introduction by Renoir, but haven't had the chance yet to delve into all of the special features. However, I am so pleased with the gift because the film is one of the greatest films ever made, and so lovely to watch over and over.
I also received $25 AMC Gift Card and $50 Cinemark Gift Card, so I'll be able to catch up on Oscar buzz movies (if released mainstream, so probably not "The Wrestler", etc.)... at least, the ones that haven't been released yet.
As for last year, I received the "Six Feet Under" Complete Series DVD Set. That is definitely the best Christmas gift I have ever received.

I was going to put down that I got The Dark Knight Bat Pod statue w/ 3-Disc Blu-ray, but I like my collectible Exorcist Bobblehead/Bobblebed (The bed totally bobbles too!) statue better.
Check it out:

The only things that I don't like about the Statue/Blu-ray combo set is that the Blu-ray discs come in a plastic odd shaped case that is the back of the display. I would have preferred the regular Blu-ray case, so I could store it as I do my others.
Also, the Bat Pod is a decent replica, but it is permanently attached to the statue. The wheels don't even spin :(

Good going. Two of the best movies available on Blu-ray... you definitely did your research :) Just watched Disc 1 today of The Dark Knight (I saw it in theaters, so this is my 2nd time seeing it)... still amazing in every way.

Wife and I got the complete series of "Allo, Allo" as an early Christmas gift. One of the funniest sitcoms the BBC has aired. We had only seen about 4 seasons, years ago when we lived in Austin, and didn't realize there were 9 seasons. Looking forward to viewing them all.

I got money to go towards my blu-ray fund. I'm waiting until I have at least $500 so I can get a decent player and some movies to watch on it. Unfortunately I've been out of work since May and am starting a new job (woo-hoo) in January so it'll probably be March before I can afford it.
But I did go ahead and buy Dark Night on BD since there's no point in buying it on DVD when I'm upgrading and I can watch it on my laptop.

There's nothing like when the cameras switch to IMAX when you're watching the Blu-ray. It's so immersive, believe it or not. Really excellent stuff.

Yeah that's one of the reasons I said screw it I'm getting the Blu-Ray, so when I finally watch it I can see it in the IMAX ratio.

My family got me two childhood classics and although i could probably watch them for free on tbs (i refuse to call it peachtree tv), they're fun movies. I got Matilda and Jumanji! plus money to go bargain shopping at our HMV where i bought Borat for 4 bucks!
