First Look: 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'!

It's finally time for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to make some noise, and while all of us slowly awake from our holiday daze, Empire Magazine has released the first official images from the film, while USA Today has a report from the set. Above, in a photo from Empire, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox dodge explosions during what has to be some sort of snazzy robot battle.
From USA Today: This time, the story finds Sam and Mikaela under attack by the evil Decepticons because of something Sam has learned about the origins of the Transformers and their ancient history on Earth. To acquire this knowledge, the invading Decepticons need to capture Sam instead of kill him. Meanwhile, the U.S. military and an international coalition has united with the good-guy Autobots to fight back the villains' attack. Some of the most important newcomers are in the robot cast: Decepticons Soundwave, a fearsome communications expert, and Devastator, whose arms and legs are built out of other Transformers. And on the Autobots' side is Jetfire, a villain whose age and broken-down physicality leads him to help the Autobots."

I loved the first Transformers so I'm really looking forward to this one. I hope they keep the story good without getting over-eager about the possible cash flow. But I do love me some Michael Bay directing.

I don't know why people ever liked Transformers. A cartoon with uninteresting robot characters was made into a big stinkeroo movie with uninteresting robot characters...and now people want to see more of it? Why? It's just robots blowing stuff up, people.

Apparently you didn't watch it as a kid Bill or you are still a kid/teenager that is star struck by the bells and whistles of the new age cartoons. Transformers/Gi Joe/Macross(Robotech) and hundrest of other 80's cartoons started the turning ponts of Saturday mornings and after school goodness. You can sit here now and look at the cartoons but apparently you can't look back on the cartoons. Yes I for one shot the crap out of some of the things that were wrong with the first movie but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie or it wasn't entertaining.
Yes it is just "robots blowing stuff up", but X-Men are mutants blowing stuff up, and Start Wars is just people blowing stuff up and look at the following thoes and other movies that just blow stuff up have. Get a life. It is entertainment.
The movie looks great and I hope it is as entertaining as the first one. I have a feeling thought the romance plot in this one will be a bit weak, bu the addition of Devastator may make up for it. They have botched up Jetfire a bit as filmsuki said.
