Cinematical has just received this exclusive poster for Sunshine Cleaning, starring Amy Adams, Emily Blunt and Alan Arkin. The film follows a down-on-her-funds mom (Adams) who, in order to raise money to send her son to private school, listens to the advice of her father (Arkin) and starts up a crime scene cleaning business with her sister (Blunt). Adams and Blunt together seems like a recipe for success, and advanced buzz on the film -- which comes to us from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine -- is pretty positive so far. Directed by Christine Jeffs and written by Megan Holley (nice female duo at the top there), Sunshine Cleaning hits theaters on March 13th.

So... One more flick from these cats partially titled Sunshine and about a quirky family doing something a little different with their lives thanks to the benevolent advice of Alan Arkin and we have ourselves a Trilogy.

You know Clark, when I first read about this flick (and the "Sunshine" and Arkin similarity....) I thought the same thing!
Luckily, after reading about it and viewing the trailer a few times -- I'm happy to say that "Cleaning" looks like it will be able to stand on its' own merits, not just coast on the warm feelings for "Miss Sunshine".
I'm excited for this one. I truly hope that a quirky flick like this -- with two lead females and written & directed by females, will succeed. I like that it is not a romantic comedy nor does it feel like the dreaded "chick flick". It seems hard to pinpoint what to call it....and I like that. It just looks like.....a good movie. Yay, I remember those.
I hope I'm right.

Been waiting for this one too long... why was the turnaround so long Erik, it's been complete for over a year now has it not?
I recently watched "Cleaner" (2007 - Samuel Jackson), and though not as cheery sounding as "Sunshine Cleaning", it is a pretty good movie I'd recommend to you.
