'Wolverine' Reshoots Giving Deadpool and Beak Extra Screen Time

It seems to me that you can probably trust Hugh Jackman -- when he told AICN that the reshoots were centered on other actors, he was right ... although you could argue that beefing up characters and adding scenes is pretty extensive stuff after all.IESB.net reports that the X-Men Origin: Wolverine reshoots revolve around Deadpool, and that Ryan Reynolds was up in Vancouver shooting additional scenes between Deadpool and Wolverine. Details are scarce, so that's easily something that can fit under Jackman's explanation of "schedule conflicts and weather problems," it could mean that they liked Reynolds' Deadpool so much they wanted more, or it could be some story issues. Who knows.
PopWrap caught up with Dominic Monaghan, who revealed that his casting was practically an overnight offer. Monaghan only filmed for nine days, and is also one of the actors up in Vancouver for reshoots, and confirmed there were new scenes being added to the film. "We're doing a bit of both, more than anything else, it's an additional scene which I would get shot in the head if I told you anything about. But my character features in a huge set piece with Hugh and Liev [Schreiber]. I think the best thing I can tell you is that it's a flashback scene."
So there you are -- these reshoots may be a sign of hope or disaster, but one thing they mean is that you will get more Deadpool and Beak in the film.

off topic, sorry Elisabeth, but can someone (anyone) explain how "Button" comes away with 463 nominations and Nolan isn't even nominated for his work on Dark Knight nor for best picture?
it certainly couldn't have been for a lack of praise...
oh, wait--this just in, 464 now lol...

It'll be interesting to see how Ryan makes the jump to gritty realism.

I just want to put this out there:
I live in Vancouver and have noticed that over the last week a huge set has been being built on the University of BC campus, a big prison set in front of a very severe looking cement building. It is complete with fences, graffiti, barbed wire, look-out towers and as of today, a tank.
No one will say what its for, but its unlikely to be for anything else. I'd be surprised if any of the other productions shooting in Vancouver have the budget. Maybe it has to do with the facilty Wolverine is kept in...?
