Fan Made: 'Public Enemies' Poster

Before folks begin passing this off as the first teaser poster for Public Enemies, let us go on record as saying it's a Fan Made poster ... and a pretty darn good one at that. Cinematical reader JC sent this into us, and it comes from the deviantART page of one drMIERZWIAK. Why is it these Fan Made posters are usually much better than the crud that slithers its way out of the studio marketing machine? I dig this poster; it screams old school gangster flick ... and I bet you ten bucks it's better than the first official teaser poster for this film (which -- I'm guessing here -- will probably include a few floating heads and some bullet holes in the shape of the words 'Coming Soon').
One of the most anticipated summer films, Public Enemies follows the FBI (in its earliest form) as they attempt to bring down the country's most elusive criminal, John Dillinger. Johnny Depp stars as Dillinger, Christian Bale stars as FBI agent Melvin Purvis and Michael Mann directs. With its July 1 release date, one expects an actual teaser poster to arrive any day now. In the meantime, check out the fake one below.

When are we going to get a trailer? I know the movie doesn't open for 5 months, but it looks like the best non-blockbuster, high-quality movie of the summer! And Depp vs Bale is legendary, the dudes are practically the best and most popular actors of the last decade.

Some advance reliable reviews already said Mann disappoints again like Miami Vice. I think its not as great as Heat or even American Gangsters. Im already bailing out on boring Bale.

Thing is, I thought AM was beat as shit, while Heat is among my favorites, but as far as Miami Vice, I hated it when I first saw it and just re-watched it last week (some four years later?) and actually thought it was really awesome. I just find it hard to believe that Mann-Bale-Depp could be too bad, the combination is just too delectable!

As you can see it's poster with Depp. When there will be good pic of Bale, I will do another one with him.
And nice to see my poster here. Thanks to everyone for the good words.

There has been other fan posters around for some time. The last one I saw included Bale. It was on imdb.com PE board.

liveforfilms.com has a very professional looking poster...much better than this one and the one at imdb. there's some discussion on its authenticity, but it the best i've seen.

The poster on the Live for Films site is a good one, but it's fan-made too. With the trailer coming out on April 4th, hopefully we'll have a one sheet very soon.

Well, it's neat, but when the name of the movie is "Public enemies", shouldn't there be at least 2 person on the poster?
Or perhaps actor on the poster changes, while the lay-out doesn't.

Maybe they didn't put Bale on the poster because in light of his recent rampage and the outrage of the people about it (many refusing to see any movie with him in it) they would like Public Enemies to have a chance at the Box office when it opens. http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b81964_christian_bale_f-bombs_terminator_set.html
