Stuff We Missed: 'Superman' Sequel Title, 'New Moon', 'Iron Man 2' and More!

Lots going on this week -- here are a few stories that fell between the cracks ...
UPDATE: Slashfilm was sent a link to a password protected page on the Legendary Pictures website that lists the title of the Superman Returns sequel to be Superman Unleashed. No word on whether that's old or new or if it will stick, but that looks to be the title they're working with now.
-- The first official ... logo (?) for New Moon (aka Twilight 2) has arrived online via MTV (which I heard now stands for Music, Twilight, Very Bad Reality Shows) and, ya know, it looks like the original Twilight logo except with some extra yellow-orange color. Not sure if I'm crazy about the whole Twilight Saga thing, but I guess they had to find a place for the word 'Twilight' in order to remind people that it's the same franchise. Nevertheless, you can check it out at the top of this post.
-- Looks like Mickey Rourke might not be done with Iron Man 2 after all. The actor told Jeffrey Lyons recently that he's met with the screenwriter and director and there's a chance they'll work out something (the key word there being 'Give me more money you cheap bastards'). Some say Rourke and his people are holding out to see if he wins the Oscar for Best Actor, which would surely give him a bit more leverage in the contract negotiations. So we'll see ...
-- Meanwhile, in the year 2018, it looks like Linda Hamilton is in talks to reprise her role as Sarah Connor for Terminator Salvation. She confirmed earlier rumors, telling MTV that, if the talks go well, she'd be providing a voiceover -- most likely one that will open the movie.
After the jump: Scream 4, Superman and a Coming to America sequel ...
-- Yes, they're going to make a Scream 4 ... but what will it take to get Wes Craven to direct it. The horror legend spoke to Bloody Disgusting about such a task, and had this to say: "It would take it being really as good a script as the first one was ... and the pay day reflects what I've done for that company and what Ive gone through on Cursed (laughs)." Craven also confirmed that a deal has been made with Kevin Williamson to write the script -- which, supposedly, will be a "younger version" of the Scream franchise, with some of the old regulars (Arquette couple and Campbell) possibly making cameos.
-- AICN recently reported that the Wachowski brothers had been in talks to possibly take over the Superman franchise, and now Slashfilm says they have confirmation from a few different sources who claim that's not true at all, and that the Wachowskis have never even discussed Supes with anyone. Then again, perhaps false internet rumors will prompt the studio to head in that same direction ...
-- Finally, the strangest movie deal of the week has to go to the recently-announced Back to Africa, which may star Martin Lawrence as a guy from Queens who discovers he's the heir to the throne of an African country and travels there to claim his birthright. Sounds fun, yet corny, but the thing of it is that Back to Africa sounds exactly like the comedy Coming to America ... but in reverse. That hilarious film starred Eddie Murphy as a soon-to-be African king who travels to Queens to find his, um, queen. There's no mention of this being any sort of follow-up to that film, but it's kinda obvious don't ya think? [Variety]

It feels like Back to Africa is a rip off of a dozen other movie ideas. Another film about some guy from one place that finds out he's rich and is thrust into a different environment. Hilarious.

I think that you guys are just really mean for trashing the Twilight Saga, I don't see any of you knuckleheads writing a book series and putting it up on the big screen. How would you like it if you did do that and a lot of people thought it was horrible? Then, wouldn't you not like it either?
