Warner Premiere Announces 'Lost Boys 3'

Fine, I'll admit it: I sat down and watched the craptastic sequel to Lost Boys, The Tribe. Lord knows I wish I hadn't, but it was the film equivalent of a train wreck and it was just too hard to look away. But even I have my limits, so I'm not sure what to think about the latest bad idea from Warner Premiere: Lost Boys 3. Bloody Disgusting announced that Warners has given the go-ahead for another direct-to-DVD sequel, and have hired Evan Charnov (Fearless) to pen the script.According to BD, Edgar Frog (aka Corey Feldman) will be back, along with the lesser known Frog, Jamison Newlander. So instead of trying for a re-tread of the first film like last time, Charnov's script is going to focus on the Frog brothers (and why, oh why, didn't they just do this in the first place?) But the Frog brothers will probably be the only familiar faces coming back for another go round, because I highly doubt that anyone will be knocking on Corey Haim's door after what happened the last time. There is no release date for Lost Boys 3 so far, but let's be honest with ourselves -- this kind of straight-to-DVD flick can probably be knocked out in a weekend.
So what do you think? Maybe if we all pretend that Lost Boys 2 never happened we'll finally get the sequel we deserve. Then again, maybe we should all turn away and pretend like the whole thing is just a bad dream ... a very bad dream.

In my opinion, the only good thing about the Tribe was the last minute with Corey Haim in it. Despite whatever "meltdown" that people say that he had, he is still the only one in the movie that could act. I kept watching, waiting to get excited about this film, and it just didn't happen until they threw that last bit in with Sam. Please Warner Brothers, do not make the same mistake on the 3rd film!!!!! Sign Corey Haim or DO NOT MAKE THIS MOVIE, because nobody will watch it!

corey haim was the best actor in the first lost boys and is a very smart person he just needs to keep his head straight and will be back in the big films.my daughter madison 9yrs old said something very smart corey should do some kid movies with disney are something like that to get the younger crowed into him so that will build is name back up not just the younger kids but also the adults that watch him,she also said that he act very good with the younger kids.so corey i am a big fan and also my daughter madison please stay on track.ps my daughter said if you ever need a side kick she will be more than happy to be she always wants to be in a movie with a great actor.

Please don't screw this one up. The second one sucked. SUCKED. There was nothing redeeming about it. It needs to be big screen with a director/producer who has a real vision and understands/appreciates the original. The music needs to be top notch (not like the crap in LB2) and the whole gore/cussing thing didn't do a THING for the movie.
Unless they can get a few more folks to sign on from the original (and MOST of them are still living) then give it up.

I agree with many who feel that Corey Haim should have played a bigger role in the second one. the director must be stupid and blind from the truth that he is not better than the original casting. I feel if a part 3 is made the original characters should be included and not out casted just because they had a few problems.
