Worst Movie Tagline Ever?

I'm all for these Crank films --I totally think there's an audience for directors like Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, two dudes who are utterly insane and completely out of their minds. It's cool, Hollywood needs more guys like them. Go Neveldine and Taylor! Ever since the last poster for Crank 2 arrived online, people have been making fun of its fairly ridiculous tagline -- so much so that a dude on Twitter snapped this photo where someone circled the tagline and tried to point out that it was indeed the worst tagline ever.
But is it? Part of me actually thinks it's one of the smarter taglines out there, simply because it helps answer the one question everyone's going to ask when they hear there's a new Crank film coming out. I can see it now: Two blokes hanging in the subway, when one turns to the other and says:
Bloke 1: Did you hear there's a new Crank movie coming out?
Bloke 2: Really? But I thought he died at the end of the first one.
Bloke 1: He did die ... but, according to the sequel's tagline, he apparently got better.
Bloke 2: Cool ... I hope there's lots of blood and naked chicks. Yeah!
Sure, it's not the greatest tagline ever, but they couldn't exactly use the tagline they originally wanted to go with: "Crank 2 -- You Want To See Amy Smart Naked, Right?"
What do you think of this tagline -- does it serve its purpose or is it really the worst you've ever seen?

I think it's funny in a "so bad its funny" kind of way, which fits the movie pretty well.

The guy who vandalized the poster is clearly not a Monty Python fan. It's a fine tagline for CRANK's silliness and a sweet HOLY GRAIL reference.

I actually think it is rather amusing, especially as a tribute to Monty Python and the Holy Grail:
Sir Bedevere: What makes you think she's a witch?
Peasant 3: Well, she turned me into a newt!
Sir Bedevere: A newt?
Peasant 3: [meekly after a long pause] ... I got better.
Crowd: [shouts] Burn her anyway!

I KNOW that I've seen worse, and I also know that I have seen one where I yelled aloud at how awful it was...except I can't think of it at this exact second. When I do, you will be the first to know.
In the mean time, I will leave with ONE of the more terrible ones...
2003's Good Boy! - "Rover is about to take Over."

Anyone who saw the first movie knows that it's tongue-in-cheek, completely aware of it's ridiculousness throughout. The tag-line perfectly reflects the absurdity of the last film and appropriately sets up the new one I think.

Worst tagline i've seen was from.. smallvile i think.
"Every triangle has three sides."
*facepalm*
This one certanly competes with vigor. Someone should make a list, all time worst taglines.

I'm agree with you : the Smallville one was horrible ! But the Crank's tagline isn't so bad, it's in the tone of the first one :)

didn't you guys just steal this post from videogum yesterday?
http://videogum.com/archives/movie-posters/surely-there-is-an-even-worse_062982.html
and it's just a dog on monty python as "jack" said up there, so anyone who gives veracity to it as the "worst ever" is just not thinking about it to begin with.
disappointing. i liked this blog.

Who's stealing from who? A friend linked me to the Twitter pic and so I wrote a post about it. Thanks for being so judgmental, though, it makes us feel oh so good.

It's the perfect tagline for that movie.
The tagline is a decent test for prospective audience members: if you think that tagline is dumb, then don't see this movie because it's going to be even dumber.
I mean, the last film ended with him making a cell phone call while falling from an airplane with no parachute. What can you really expect from this one? I'm hoping they'd amp up the comedy ala Evil Dead and just go insane with it.

Hey, it makes me laugh whenever I see it. My vote for worst tagline ever and horrible penalties if you should ever use it is, "everything you know will change/is going to change/nothing will ever be the same/again". *BLAM!* Stop using that! It sucks!
