The first "official" photos from Sly Stallone's action-packed The Expendables has arrived online (courtesy of AICN), and one features Eric Roberts and Stone Cold Steve Austin flying through the air following an explosion of some sorts. If the words 'Eric Roberts', 'Stone Cold Steve Austin' and 'explosion' don't immediately force you to write the word 'AWESOME' in ALL CAPS (before yelling it out your apartment window for the whole world to hear), then I'm sorry, but there's really no hope for you. Check out all three images in the gallery below, and read one of these posts for more info on the film, which hits theaters on April 23, 2010.
Director Rob Zombie has already wrapped production on Halloween 2 (or H2), even though it feels as if only two weeks have passed since his return to the franchise was announced. Zombie celebrated by releasing an image of the new Michael Myers, stressing that this will be one of many faces Myers shows off in the new film. This comes after word spread that Myers will remain mask-less for 70% of the movie (see set photo evidence below), which would certainly be a huge departure from the original horror franchise. I dunno, I kinda like my slashers in a mask. Remove the mask and, well, they're just another random weirdo ... and I work with enough of those here at Cinematical. What do you think: With the mask or without it? (Click images below to view the new Myers)
More after the jump ...

The first photos from the Vancouver set of Tron 2 are starting to leak out online, courtesy of Slashfilm. The image on the left shows a building doctored up with a big Encom logo and what look to be blue neon lights in one of the offices. On the right we have either an extra or a main actor in costume (there's no description of him other than this photo on Slashfilm, so I apologize to the readers of this blog for not having any more information on that gentleman in the photo. That said, he looks like a 'Ted' from behind, and appears to be drinking coffee from craft services*). From the brief set report on Slashfilm: "They have been blocking off huge main sections of downtown for some pretty awesome looking action scenes. I saw tons of police cars chasing a guy hanging on to the top of a taxi. There were huge cranes holding up a stunt wire rig like I have never seen before. There is definitely some impressive non-light cycle real life action in this movie. They have also transformed the tallest building in the city with huge Encom logos and futuristic lighting."

Finally, Entertainment Weekly has unveiled another one of their sprawling 47-image galleries, featuring first-look images from a bunch of upcoming TV shows and movies, including this one above of Daniel Day-Lewis and Kate Hudson in the musical-to-movie adaptation of Nine (in theaters on November 25). Below, check out Denzel Washington all scruffed up in his new flick, Book of Eli (January 15, 2010).

No offense but that was a horrible article. Most of the EW pics were released like 3 weeks ago and there was absolutely no explanation for the second tron pic of the guy getting a coffee, what up Erik?

There is no explanation of the dude in the costume. No one knows who he is; that's the only shot that appeared online and it came with no description. Did you want me to make something up?
And as far as the EW pics go, some are new, some aren't. We hadn't posted either of those yet, so I went ahead and put them up.
Sorry for the horrible article, Ziggy. Hopefully it didn't ruin your day.

I'm sorry if i offended you, i just love cinematical so much it hurts to have random pictures thrown up that may or may not be from the sequel to the 5th greatest movie ever. And you could have put up the new EW photos instead of old ones.
