Harley Quinn Could Totally Sex Up Next Batman Movie

The latest trailer is out for the new Batman video game, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and it's a pretty rad Harley Quinn character preview. Quinn (voiced, of course, by Arleen Sorkin) is just one of several Batman villains featured in the game, which has already received rave remarks from fans and gamers alike (with some going so far as to call it the game of the year). Though she'll be joined by the likes of the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc and Mr. Freeze (all of whom will most likely get their own trailers too), Quinn is no doubt a fan favorite and a villain folks (including myself) would love to see show up in a live-action film.
Of course with the Joker situation the way it is right now, chances are that won't happen for a good while -- but after watching this all-too-brief trailer (and scoping out the screengrabs below), I can't help but be seduced by this gal's sexy wickedness -- she almost reminds me of a nurse-turned-stripper-turned-serial killer ... and, on paper, that's a pretty awesome villain. I'm very skeptical of a live-action Harley Quinne, perhaps even more so then a live-action Joker. With the comics and cartoons you can make her out in your own image but in movies you have to work with the actress you cast. And a Batman movie will never be rated R, so sexing it up would be pointless. That being said I did read a graphic novel a couple months back that was about the Joker. It was done in a pulp/noir style. In that Harley was a stripper at a club.

This game isn't out. I don't think people should make anything of 'rave remarks from fans and gamers alike,' until people are actually playing. Batman games are notoriously bad. Eidos games are notoriously bad (for a 'top tier' developer that is).
After all that hatin' - Harley could be really neat in a live action film.

and i would have loved to see her in the next film, with the joker situation though, may or may not happen.
i've commented here that if she were in the film, i would like to see anne hathaway do it.

I would probably like some Live Action Harley Quinn soon, but she's too cool for the current, bland, grounded, raspy voiced incarnation of the franchise. Maybe in a future version Maybe get both Harley and Poison Ivy and have them as a team, maybe as lovers.

Brittany Murphy would play a perfect Harley Quinn, not only does she have the lookd but she can do the quirky, off-kilter, crazy girl act brilliantly. Check out her performances in The Dead Girl and Sin City.
As others have said, it would be really difficult to work Quinn in to the next movie with the Joker situation the way it is, unless of course they recast the Joker which I am not opposed to them doing. I think Nolan could make a believable Harley Quinn to work with his style of movie, focusing on her rabid obsession with the Joker.

They need to limit how much of the Joker is on the screen and how much we actually hear from him.
I think they should have a few short, dark scenes between Harley and the Joker, at Arkham. Just to set up her character.
Then let her go on a rampage. Finish what he started... blah blah...

Way better than the whole "Angelina Jolie as Catwoman" idea, that was tossed around. Blah!
I love Catwoman, but after the enormous DUMP Halle Berry took on her character... I think the Catwoman roll is going to need a bit more time to recover.
I think Jenny McCarthy would play a great Harley Quinn. She might be a bit old for the roll (Hollywood's standards, not mine) but she can pull off the costume, the voice, and the insanity.
Other good candidates for the role would be Anna Faris, Marley Shelton and Amanda Seyfried. All cute blonds, cute voices and crazy eyes.
Just my opinion...

I had hopes that this last movie would feature Harley (rumors were circulating) and of course she wasnt in it. Come to think of it...Im still bothered by it.

Harley is voluptuous. Brittany... not so much...
