'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' ... On A Scale of 1-10?

Back when Watchmen came out, we decided to introduce a new 1-10 Poll instead of simply asking for your opinion on a film in the comments section. We felt this added a new element to the whole post-blockbuster experience, and promised to bring it back for summer movie season if you folks played along. And since a whopping 5,000 of you participated in that Watchmen poll, the 1-10 is officially back ... and looking for a little love.
Since we can't launch these for every single summer movie, we're going to stick with the bigger blockbusters -- the films most likely to win their opening weekend by a mile. As with most questions on a 1-10 scale, 1 will be the absolute worst and 10 pretty much knocked your socks off. After all was said and done on Watchmen, folks settled in on an 8. Will any summer movie beat that? Which summer flick will come in the lowest? Highest? Once we hit Labor Day, we'll tally it all up and see who's getting a sequel and who's, well, looking for other work.
Our Summer 2009 1-10 Polls begin with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Sound off below ...

I give it a 7: above average, and just shy of greatness. His claws looked real fake sometimes, and maybe the twists whern't all that great. But the caution was packing. Plus, I expected Deadpool to disapoint, but I actually liked him!
(Spoilers may follow)
As a fan of the X-Films in general, it is preety jarring the age differences this movie sets up for the other films. Plus, Wolverine didn't have those bullet holes in the the future films. I will say, Xavier looked freakin Creepy, like a guy weariing a grinning Patrick Stewart Mask.

I give it a 2. Really disappointing. Beyond the story being muddled and the action basically amounting to sweaty guys yelling, they make an incoherent mess of young Wolverine's origin. And I'm not just being an angry comic book geek here - I seriously doubt anyone in the audience took anything significant away from the young Wolverine scenes. They say nothing about the character. Why even bother telling Wolverine's origin if you're going to do it so half-assed? And what they did to Deadpool...

I loved X-MEN and X-MEN 2. X-MEN 3,... not so good. This one, Wolverine nevvvverrrrr...got off the ground. Can someone please...please explain to me, why must every Super Hero MOVIE surround its plot around a love story?!? I want to see Thor battle Loki! Not fall in love. I want to see Captain America kill some Nazis. Not deal with fatherhood and explaining to his son why mommy and daddy are getting a divorce.I WANT TO SEE VOLTRON AND HIS FLAMMING SWORD CUT A MONSTER IN HALF!!!

I gave this movie an 8. I have seen all the X-Men movies..and I am not a comic book junkie. I went into this movie expecting it to be okay...but I was impressed. I enjoyed the action and the actors. I think they did a good job from what I've seen of the X-Men movies.

so uh, the plot is (spoiler) in order to get him to agree to have adamantium put in him - they have a girl pretend to fall in love with him, and then pretend to get killed by his brother? that might be up there with the dumbest plots in history. sigh.

For this movie to be much worse someone would have to be kicking me in the testicles repeatedly during the viewing. My wife dragged me to it and she owes me big time for this. Eating lead paint is a healthier past time than watching Wolverine.

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO THINK THERE IS A CONTINUITY ERROR REGARDING THE BULLET HOLES IN HIS SKULL FROM THE ADAMANTIUM BULLETS:
* Adamantium beta
This was created by an experiment involving Wolverine. As a side effect of bonding true adamantium with his bones, and his rapid healing ability there was a molecular change which has adapted adamantium to the biology of normal bone. This Adamantium acts like a biological component, regenerating as his bones do.

I'd give it a 7. it was well made with the direction and definetely actors. Liev Scribher always kind of made me uneasy and he really did in this one. The story is a bit muddled though. Too much violence really. Now that i've seen the x-men movies and this one, I feel sympathy for the character of Wolverine because his life was really violent and sad but a little too depressing for my tastes. I give it a good review but I think I prefer Iron Man and Spider-Man more. no offense to fans

this one was a lot better then the other three by far the xmen trilogy had a great cast horrible horrible story lines for origins great cast especially who they had for deadpool lol no one better the story could have been better it would have to be longer but dark knight was supposed to be 6 hours long so they did have room to improve how they did wolverines life is true thats wat happened in the comics yes some a little different but still the same especially the brothers and the bone claws with the xmen sabertooth he didnt even look like he reconized him plus he died but he had regen like wolverine so id give it an 8 comparitively to the xmen trilogy to what they could have done with it id give it a 6
