Will Bradley Cooper Be The Green Lantern?

The waiting game on The Green Lantern has been kind of agonizing. While they have confirmed Martin Campbell as director a dozen times, as well as its shooting location in Australia, we still don't know who will wield the ring. (But we know who wants to -- right Brian Austin Green?)Drew McWeeny over at HitFix is exclusively reporting that the choice may be made -- and it might be the handsome and funny Bradley Cooper. The Hangover star is poised to be a breakout star of the summer, and becoming the Emerald Knight would pretty much launch him into superstar territory.
McWeeny stresses that nothing is official yet, and that Campbell likes to look at and screen test a lot of actors before making his choice. "But the process is far enough along that this is more than just a meeting or some spot on a wish list ... But with the film set to shoot later this summer, they've got to start making their choices, and now's the time to put people in front of the camera and see who really works in the suit. I'm not a betting man, but if I were, I would bet that Cooper's going to be the guy."
So DC and Lantern fans, what do you think of Cooper as Hal Jordan? He's got the look and he has a lot of rakish charm that's neccessary for a test pilot. Does he have that special something that would make Abin Sur bestow the ring on him?

I don't like Cooper at all. He may be good looking, but he is bland more than charming and always the same wherever he appears. I wouldn't have known him by name alone either, so I guess he is a more familiar mug in the U.S. than he is abroad.
I'd rather see the role go to Brian Austin Green if it was between those two. BAG has been pretty amazing on Terminator in these last couple of years so it would be cool to see him on the big screen as well.

I dont want to see him as GL. I'd also rather see B. Green take the role he seems more serious than Cooper does.

I bought the first season of Alias last year for 5 bucks and I was suprised to find Bradley Cooper was favorite cast member. I've been watching him with interest ever since. Loved him in lea dfor "The Midnight Meat Train", but have no idea how he'd fair as Hal Jordan - Cooper seems to have a bit of an ego about him with whoever he plays.

Hell know. I do not like B.Cooper.
I know who he is but I still need to add - "Who the hell is Bradley Cooper". He's good on Nip/Tuck but that's it.

if it turns out to be true, i'm ok with it.
he's got the on-screen charisma needed for hal, and to pull in both male & female audiences. he's got the physique (do a google image search), and according to imdb he's 6'2" so the stature is pretty spot on. gosling could've possibly brought more of a gravitas to the role, but BC's previous work is varied enough to suggest he could pull it off.

I think Brian Austin Green would have been a better choice even the rumor of Ryan Reynolds would have been better but now that He is doing a story of Deadpool that's not going to happen.
So I hope this is not true. I can't see a Hal Jordan out of him.
