Pattinson Confirms Fourth 'Twilight' Film

I don't know why, but vampires are back in vogue (I once read it had something to do with bad economies, but that might be stretching it). So even though we all knew this was coming, today it's official: Robert Pattinson (better known as dreamy bloodsucker Edward Cullen) will be returning for the fourth and final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Pattison is "committed to starring in the final outing to date but doesn't know when backers Summit Entertainment will begin production because of the actor's jam-packed shooting schedule." The final book in Meyers series centers on *spoiler alert* Bella and Edward's marriage and her subsequent pregnancy -- and let me tell you, I read the book, and it's pretty out there.
Parts two and three of the series are already in production in Vancouver, and as much as I giggled my way through Twilight (and brother, did I giggle), I have higher expectations for New Moon. But that has a lot to do with the addition of Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning as the kind of vampire I'm a little more familiar with -- you know, the kind that are a little more bad-ass. In New Moon, Bella (Kristen Stewart) is struggling with the loss of her pigment-challenged boyfriend and growing closer to her childhood friend, Jacob. But don't worry girls, Pattinson's role has been beefed up in the second installment, and he told THR it was no easy task to make the role a little more exciting: "You're playing a figment in Bella's imagination so I was trying to do it in a 2-D way. I hope it doesn't translate onscreen as being boring." Pattinson's schedule is filling up, and he will take a break from all that 'glittering' to start work on the romantic drama Remember Me before heading back to Vancouver to start work on Eclipse (the third film in the series) in October.
After the jump; how Pattinson is trying to beat the curse of typecasting...
I have to hand it to Pattinson, because it was no secret that both he and Kristen Stewart weren't prepared for the hysteria that was to follow after signing on to play the plasma-crossed lovers. While Stewart has gotten most of the flack from fans about her lack of devotion to the series, Pattinson has escaped relatively unscathed (although he might have a slight advantage with fans considering most of them are in love with him). But, contracts are contracts and at least (unlike his co-star) he's trying to be a little more gracious about the whole thing. Instead of complaining, Pattinson has been doing his best to pick projects that guarantee he won't be playing Edward Cullen for the rest of his life. The guy has already lined up another possible gig playing a "morally corrupt" playboy in Bel Ami, and don't forget, there is still the small matter of a gay love scene for the art biopic Little Ashes. Hopefully, for Pattinson's sake when Ashes hits theaters, those 'Twihards' will never be able to look at him the same way again.
New Moon will arrive in theaters on November 20th.

The 4th book is really...odd. I totally read it and delighted in it, but think it's going to be kind of awkward to film. It's graphic and not in a good way. Kristen Stewart is going to have to be comfortable with being unattractive or they are going to have to seriously edit. And that's not even addressing the issues of imprinting or the Volturi. It's going to be interesting to watch.

Okay, just to get something out in the open, I am a twilight obsessed girl. And I am over the freakin' moon that Breaking Dawn is going to be made in a movie! Kristen Stewart (Bella) will be too happy about what happens in the movie as in: Bella looks horrible, Bella gets torn apart... You know that crap! And I can't wait to see Robert (Edward) play the 'burning man.' Yeah but it will be an awesome movie though!

I totally agree with Stephenie, I absolutely adore the Twilight Saga, and if Kristen Stewart wants to play in Breaking Dawn or even if she doesn't, it's her choice. and the same with Rob, if he does, he does, and he if doesn't, he doesn't. Even though we already know that if there is a 4th movie, Breaking Dawn Stephenie Meyer says "It would be hard to fit all of it in 90 minutes". I totally agree, the 4th book is my favorite, but you really have to be mature, because both in the book and possibly the movie, it's very graphic and is not for kids around 6's, 7's, 8's or even 11 year old's. But if Kristen does agree to play in Breaking Dawn, we all have to understand she is very dedicated to her work. I really hope they do make a 4th movie, with all the same characters, and actors, and details, but for that to happen, they aren't going to be able to fit it in 1 movie. But then there is a rumor floating that Taylor Launter is not going to play Jacob Black in Breaking Dawn. Then someone asked me "Why not make it a 2 hour long movie?". But all the details sill won't fit if all the needed details were in the movie, it would probably be around 3-4 hours. Good Luck Twilight- MTV AWARDS
