Would You Rather: Cera or LaBeouf as Facebook Founder?

Prehistoric caveman or action hero? As our own Jenni Miller recently posted, David Fincher is in talks to direct The Social Network (AKA "The Facebook Movie"). Naturally enough, speculation has begun on who could play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. CNET News was told by "an entertainment industry source" that Michael Cera and Shia LaBeouf are among the top choices.
But they're on the top of the list for just about any movie featuring a 20-something lead, aren't they? Would either one be suited for the role? The red hot LaBeouf would seem the more logical choice ... except that he's already set for Money Never Sleeps (AKA Wall Street 2) and has The Associate (based on John Grisham's latest best seller) in development. One's about the financial industry, the other takes place in the legal system; a third movie set in the business world in the next couple of years might prematurely age his star.
Cera might be the better choice. Even though Year One flopped, he was the second banana and doesn't seem to have suffered from the box office fallout. The upcoming Youth in Revolt and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World could cement his appeal, setting him up for a dramatic turn with a very talented director. I'm curious to see if he can expand beyond his usual shtick; at the same time, his comic chops could come in handy, depending on Aaron Sorkin's script.
Would you rather see Michael Cera or Shia LaBeouf as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg? If not them, then who?

Cera looks more like Mark Zuckerberg. Although, he doesn't carry himself with as much bravado as Mark. LaBeouf has more of the confidence in his appearance to match Mark, so it's a pretty close call, but I would pick Cera because of the look factor.

Cera. I'm sick of Shia. He's been shoved down our throats for too long. If nothing else, maybe we'll get lucky and Shia's appeal (whatever that may be) will wear thin like Colin Farrell's did a few years ago and now we only see him in Irish or British movies.

I absolutely love Cera and his comedic prowess is unmatched. I don't know if this Facebook pic is supposed to be more drama or comedy, but I do know this: Zuckerberg is a douche. Shia is a douche. Shia may be perfect then, but for all the wrong reasons.

I like Shia more than Cera, but Cera looks more like a fit for this role.

Although I think Cera would be a better fit for the movie, I like LaBeouf a lot more as an actor and would rather see him in the movie.

See, I'm exactly the opposite of Mike. I'm tired of Cera, and his vacant, vacuous smile. Let's see if he can play someone other than that one character he keeps trotting out.

Aren't these two in enough films right now? I swear the execs in hollywood are convinced there's only 12 actors you can choose from when making a movie.

Neither one is a particularly compelling actor.
The fact that Cera refuses to be part of a potentially brilliant Arrested Development film, despite that being the role where he got his fame, indicates that he is a first class douche-canoe. On that ground alone, Shia is the better choice for this role.

I would love to see Cera in a film where he isn't a trampled-on sad sack. I really want to see if he's been typecast because of his role in Arrested Development, or if that's just the only role he can play.

after looking at the two pictures provided with the article...
the one on the left looks like Zuckerberg before Facebook was made or shortly after Facebook's birth...
and the one on the right looks like Zuckerberg ten years into the Facebook game...
