The following post contains the descriptions of two scenes in Iron Man 2 (possible spoilers), so read on at your own risk ...
In the fictional Iron Man world, Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) helps to save many lives -- but this latest bit of news actually takes place in the real world, and involves the heroics of the actor who plays Tony Stark, Robert Downey Jr. While shooting a scene involving "a group of people running away from a group of robotic villains," an extra was knocked to the ground by a stuntman in a robot suit. With chaos ensuing during the scene, Downey Jr. was the only one to realize that the man was actually injured as he called for help while on the ground. The actor then jumped into the scene and yelled "Cut! Cut!" while the cameras were still rolling, then stayed with the fallen extra until paramedics arrived. The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken hip. We here at Cinematical wish him a speedy recovery ... and, um, we're now dying to learn more about this robot villain stampede scene. [IOL]
UPDATE: Paramount contacted Cinematical to say that the above story is not true. No one was injured on the set and no one was saved.
In other Iron Man 2 news, the website Nuke the Fridge claims to know who (or what) Stan Lee will be playing in the sequel. Fans of Marvel are already well aware of the fact that Stan Lee makes a cameo in some Marvel-related movies (based on the characters he had a part in creating), and so who will he be playing in Iron Man 2? Head after the jump to find out ...
They claim the following: "Iron Man creator and Marvel comics legend Stan Lee will be playing "Larry King" in "Iron Man 2." Lee as "King" will interview Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) on "Larry King Live." Stan Lee will be questioning Stark about his new, modified "black" Iron Man suit." Mmmm ... black Iron Man suit, huh?
Iron Man 2 hits theaters on May 7, 2010.

I understand how significant Stan Lee is to comic history as much as anyone else, but am I the only one who feels that all these cameos in every movie has become a bit too much? I don't know, I'm not a big Marvel guy, so is this something that the people who are expect and would unhappy if he did not appear? Some of these characters where co-created with someone else, why are the co-creators never asked to cameo as well?
Anyone ever see the documentary on Steve Ditko that was hosted by Jonathan Ross for the BBC? I kind of got turned off to Lee after watching it. They should give Ditko a cameo in the next Spiderman movie, Stan Lee would have a heart attack.
Anyway, that's just me and I'm probably wrong.

Stan Lee is an integral figure in Marvel lore. He has had his hands on many of the cornerstone characters in the Marvel catalog. Being co-creator on some of the characters, that speaks volumes for his involvement throughout the years.
However, he DOESN'T appear in every Marvel-related film. The latest (Wolverine), in fact, did not have him in it. Nor did a few others.
I personally feel that if they are going start throwing him into films in cameo roles, they should continue it as long as the director agrees. I don't see a reason why he hasn't been in every Marvel-related film so far, but apparently conflicts or something else have arisen to prevent that from being the case.
I like that he makes cameos in the films, and actually look forward to spotting him. For those unfamiliar with Stan Lee, they probably have no idea why everyone is laughing around them. But it's that fan service that I get a kick out of.
I personally don't like when he isn't in a Marvel-related film that he had a hand in creating. Am I going to riot and burn things? No. But I do want to see him.

He only has appeared in the Marvel film versions of the characters he created/helped create. That is why you don't see him in Wolverine or The Punisher, etc.
I am admittedly a Marvel Zombie and I think its a neat running gag.
