New 'Saw VI' Clip, 'Saw VII' and 'The Strangers 2' Announced

(Yesterday was a big Saw-related day, with clips arriving online along with word of yet another sequel. Here's Peter Hall and Peter Martin reporting for Horror Squad)Yesterday Bloody-Disgusting provided the net with a look at the first official poster for Lionsgate's sixth trip to the money factory/torture well started by James Wan and Leigh Whannell back in 2004. The poster is a cryptic image of six people fixed to a child's merry-go-round with the slug, "The game comes full circle." No doubt such an enigma has been torturing the imagination of Jigsaw's rabid fanbase since its release. After all playground equipment is generally quite safe, no? How could it possibly be a sinister trap?
Now less than 24 hours later we've got an official clip from Saw VI that helps clear up the merry-go-round bit of the poster. Having watched said clip I'm shocked to report that, surprise, all is not well in the playground. Turns out a spinny-ma-jig in Saw VI land is not a source of glee. It looks like it sucks. A lot. Saw VII News After The Jump
We're still reeling from the impact of the first footage from Saw VI, and now comes confirmation that Saw VII will definitely be darkening theater screens in October 2010. Since Saw VI promises to provide "the final piece of the puzzle," I suppose Saw VII will be creating a new puzzle? Or will Jigsaw next try Monopoly?
David Hackl will return to the director's chair, according to Variety. You'll remember him as the production designer for Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV; he made his directorial debut with Saw V. Also returning are the industrious writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, who will be racking their brains to come up with more fiendish devices, puzzles, and one-liners for Jigsaw to rasp. They're on a roll now, after finishing the second Saw trilogy of IV, V, and VI. I hope they save something for the inevitable Saw VIII and Saw IX. [Read the rest at Horror Squad]

Lets just turn this into a weekly series on the SyFy channel and clear up the theaters for original horror... this is ridiculous

the saw series is the best horror films i've seen in a long time
I am glad they are making another 2 and i hope they don't stop there. it's an on the edge thriller with great twists every time to keep you in suspence. I give them my two thumbs up
