The Best Superhero Movie of ALL TIME Tournament! Round #2!

OK, last week we did all the "1 vs. 16" and "8 vs. 9" brackets, and (as expected) several people noticed A) the disparity between the quality in the former pairings ... and the slightly tougher decisions in the latter. As the first few rounds of a tournament often do. Plus all two minor upsets.
#1 Superman (1978) vs.
#1 The Dark Knight (2008) vs.
#1 Batman Begins (2005) vs.
#8 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) vs.
#1 Superman 2 (1980) vs.
#8 Hulk (2003) vs.
For the exact vote counts, check round one right here. And today we'll do all the "2 vs. 15" and "7 vs. 10" seedings. Slightly more interesting, but the big battles are yet to come.
Bracket A

#2 Spider-Man 2 (2004) vs. #15 Steel (1997)

#7 Darkman (1990) vs. #10 Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)
Bracket B

#2 The Incredibles (2004) vs. #15 Captain America (1990)

#7 The Shadow (1994) vs. #10 Spawn (1997)
Bracket C

#2 Unbreakable (2000) vs. #15 Ghost Rider (2007)

#7 Orgazmo (1998) vs. #10 Fantastic Four (2005)
Bracket D

#2 Iron Man (2008) vs. #15 Superman 4: The Quest for Peace (1987)

#7 Superman Returns (2006) vs. #10 The Specials (2000)
We'll be back on Thursday with the next round, and will continue running this two times per week until we arrive in the later rounds. Vote away!

I did
for starters, Mary Jane Watson was never Peter's first love, it was Gwen Stacey
that was changed because people were more familiar with the cartoon than the comics
then, they completely bastardized what was Marvel's greatest storyline so that we could endure more of Kirsten Dunst's vain whininess
and the Green Goblin, one of the few villains to match the Joker in levels of pure evil, is watered down to a mere nuisance that somehow returns as a ghost
Steel sucked, but Spider-Man was nowhere near as great as you people think it is
same goes for the X-Men movies and the new Bat-films

Steel is an awful movie. You don't like Spider-man movie but still is better than Steel. Steel is crap. Remember Shaquille O'Neal is the protagonist. I Would like a Spider-man movie with all the things you say, but it's not a bad movue anyways.

It is actually Spiderman 2 which is the Doc Ock story which renders your whole argument moot. Spiderman 1 wasn't amazing but 2 was the best of the series and blows Steel out of the water.

I watched Spawn and The Shadow just a few months ago. I remembered The Shadow being better, but watching them again... um... Spawn's was the better product.
Let's be clear though, neither are good. The last descendant of Genghis Khan? A clown from hell? Film villians they are not.

While it's not exactly fair to compare a mockumentary with a traditional super hero film, The Specials totally deserves to beat Superman Returns.

I felt that both had a very good grasp of mocking their source material, just on was funnier than the other.

@EricH: Ultimate Spider-Man (and indeed, anything in the "Ultimate" series) sucks more than anything else in the history of Marvel, and anyone who thinks that deserves to be considered canon should never be allowed to comment about anything comic book or superhero related
like I said, Steel was a piece of sh*t
but everyone already knows that
but people who know nothing about Spider-Man are the biggest fans of the movies (same goes for Begins/Dark Knight)
