I don't want to sound like a jerk, but you have the bracket all screwed up. You should not have the #1 and #2 seeds meeting in the second round. We you put together #1 is placed at the top the "region" and #2 and the bottom so they meet in the later rounds to keep things interesting. I'm not nit picking, this is so that the "best movies" meet in the later rounds when the weaker films have been weeded out. By having the top seeds face each other early, you can more or less figure out who will make it to the Final Four after this round.

I think you may be right. For example, #2 on Bracket A should be near the BOTTOM of that bracket.
Having said that, there are (of course) many ways to seed a tourney. When we try the next tournament, I'll keep your advice in mind.

I noticed that immediately when I saw The Dark Knight against The Incredibles... Sad to think Blade 2 or Blade Trinity will make it further than the Incredibles in "Most Awesomest of All Time"
What a technical shame. Should never let geeks do a jocks job.

If everyone is in agreement that this vote is a bit screwed up, can't we just invalidate it and have a do-over? Why go through the entire tourney with the knowledge we did it wrong?
It's like having the Oscars, and saying "well, we're not sure if this is accurate and we fudged up the judging process, but here's your award anyways"
Personally I don't mind re-voting a round.

I gotta agree with Frug on this. But it's still fun none the less.

I really don't see the problem, honestly. The key is that the best films are the ones left competing for the title, and that's shaping up to happen with Dark Knight left to duel Spider-Man 2 and Iron Man left to knock out his competition on the other end.
Incredibles is a great movies, yes, but once it went up against one of these big boys, it was destined to lose.

Eric, the problem is that a movie like THE INCREDIBLES, which by all accounts, should be at least in the top 8, loses in the 2nd round. If the seeding isn't adhered to there is no reason to have a "tournament."

You are correct that the ultimate champion will be the same, but everything leading up to it - the Sweet 16, Elite 8, and Final 4 - are all skewed and meaningless.

So sad to see The Incredibles getting trounced, but it you gotta get bumped, there are worse films to get bumped by than The Dark Knight.

I say boo to placing Dark Knight against The Incredibles! If it were up against any of the other films it would have a fighting chance.

This is all wrong. When have you seen a tournament where the 1st and 2ns seeds meet in the 2nd round?

It was wrong voting against "The Incredibles" but I did because TDK is 1 of the great films of all-time. I love both of these movies for entirely different reasons. "Hancock" sucked, but "Darkman" is a really good movie v. "The Crow" which is 1 of my top 10 films of all time. "Spawn" v. "Batman: The Movie" is like picking between "Jaws 2" & "Jaws 3".

Incredibles is a far better film than the much-over-rated Dark Knight... Without Ledger that movie would be a complete bore

re: Joshua. Yeah I voted for Incredibles too. But on the same token it would have been a waste for Dark Knight to go out so early too. I think they're both top 10 if not top 5 material.
