Watch This: 'Did You Hear About The Morgans?'

The new trailer over at Yahoo for Did You Hear About the Morgans? looks... adorable. There, I said it. Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker play two high-strung, high-powered NYC couples on the verge of divorce when, oops, they witness a murder and have to enroll in the Federal Witness Protection Program. They're sent to the middle of nowhere -- catch always-fab Mary Steenburgen wielding a shotgun -- and are forced to reexamine their relationship in close quarters. And milk cows.
Yes, hijinks ensue. Yes, it's Hugh Grant being neurotic and English, and SJP is being, well, a slightly more chill version of her Carrie Bradshaw character, and it's the whole "New Yorkers stuck out in the Midwest, oh noes!" thing, but it looks like a cute holiday flick. And I was instantly won over by Steenburgen. Sue me.

SJP says "It's Sarah Palin" as if that's a scary thing. Is it suppose to be funny?
Is SJP thinking that Steenburgen (Palin in her eyes) is some crazy woman that's going to kill her with that shotgun? Force her to go hunting? Argue against socialized medicine? Lower her taxes from the crazy NYC levels? Keep an unwanted child? What?
I hate lazy screenwriters!

That looks awful. The Palin line is funny, if easy, and I doubt by the time the movie comes out it'll get a very big laugh.
As for the commentor who took offense, don't fucking defend Sarah Palin. If you're a conservative, that's fine, but pick a more intelligent political leader. Even if you agree with her politics, she's an idiot who contradicts herself within the same speech, and is horribly underinformed on nearly everything outside of trapping and skinning small animals. The reason she can be a joke in a mainstreem hollywood movie is that she's a joke, she's no longer a politcal figure but another dumb celebrity that everyone makes fun of, regardless of political leanings.
