Check Out The Unreleased 'Avatar' Trailer!
Filed under: Fandom, Exhibition, Trailers and Clips
Yesterday, when tickets became available for the upcoming free preview of James Cameron's Avatar, the Internet was immediately brought to a screeching halt as servers crashed and connections timed-out. All over America, millions of potential Avatar fans were frustrated by their inability to get tickets for the 16-minute
But the situation was eventually resolved, and people were able to get the passes that will enable them to see if the ejaculatory praise that gushed out of Avatar's Comic-Con preview was justified. I mean, everyone will get that chance when the movie actually opens, in December, but waiting? Pfft. Waiting is for losers. Cool people watch one-eighth of the movie now, then pay to watch it again in four months.
In the meantime, however, we have an unreleased 90-second trailer for Avatar that was never officially released. You can watch it here after the jump....

This is ridiculous. Why do this? This is the sort of moronic prank you see posted on youtube by lonely virgins in their mother's basement. I thought this was supposed to be a fan-orientated film site...this isn't funny or clever, it just means you have at least one less visitor to your site now.

And your despondent, impotent rage is the perfect fuel a prank like this needs.
I know, because I am one of those people you mention(except the basement, natch!)

I knew it would be a prank, but I watched it anyway. I'm glad I did because it was hilarious. And the blood coming out of the blue guy at the end was pretty graphic.

Tickets for the preview this Friday have been released apparently, through SeeFilmFirst and HMV, according to this article:
http://www.london-insider.co.uk/2009/08/avatar-the-movie-exclusive-preview-tickets-available/
Otherwise I haven't been able to find any authoritative sources on the tickets release. Even the official website of the movie doesn't have any information for the UK... only for the US and Canada.

Grow up. It's a bloody joke. You're probably just pissed you fell for it, as are all of the others complaining about it. Get over it and have a laugh, because if you're that hard up for an 'Avatar' trailer, you need some humor in your life.

Whoa, lighten up guys. There is nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun. I always thought this site was a little hoity-toity at times. Nice to see them loosen up a litte.

Ease up. They could have gone with "Check out this Avatar *Stand-in*" or something for the headline. (Ha!) There weren't any puns in the headline, so I'm happy.

How redundant is it to say "unreleased" and "never officially released" in the same sentence in reference to the same thing? Any editors working at this site or it is all high school interns?
