'Transformers 3' Nabs Megan Fox and 2011 Release Date

Over on his official blog, Michael Bay has announced that Transformers 3 will arrive in theaters on July 1st, 2011, not 2012 as others (including Bay) had speculated. Originally Bay had wanted to take some time off from Transformers to shoot a smaller film called Pain and Gain, though someone or something (a giant pile of money, perhaps?) convinced him to instead bang out a third Transformers movie and then move on to his passion project. Bay says that today is Day One on Transformers 3 pre-production, and it started with a five-hour meeting at ILM in San Francisco and will continue as Bay flies to Rhode Island with screenwriter Ehren Kruger to meet with Hasbro and discuss new characters. As far as Megan Fox and their War of Words is concerned, Bay had the following message for her: "P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you."
So it looks like the whole gang will be back for another go-round. What do you think? Can Bay and Co. possibly make the third installment any bigger than the first and second? You think we'll get Transformers 3D? Sound off below ...

Perhaps Unicron is floating ever so slowly in the direction of Earth preparing to cosume our tiny planet.

This is wild...I knew something awful had happened when I woke up this morning. Sometimes you wake up and you just KNOW something terrible occurred...a plane crash, a chemical spill, a new menu item at KFC...and here we are.
I do appreciate his honesty though..."mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep."
Barring the chest hair, this is exactly what I experienced after getting through TF2.

New characters? I wish he'd develop existing characters instead. Why did those dumb twin brothers got all the spotlight when three G1 characters with superior character designs and servicable backstories - namely Sideswipe, Jolt, and Arcee (if they gave her the combiner form from the comics) - got the shaft.
Sadly, I think the third one will be filled with more genital jokes, annoying humans and more Jar-Jar-esque characters. *sigh* Oh, what could have been....

Please, Dreamworks, hire a writer this time, not a couple of guys who feed Michael Bay's "explosion justification" style.
Because as delicious as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee doling out beat-downs like so much soup might be, you can't have an epic without a story that makes sense.
And pretty please let it be something other than, "if you're there, pick up... okay, um, hi, it's the Decepticons, we can't find our Phlebotinum and we think we might have left it over at your place. Again."

i don't know who Micheal bay is other than the director
i don't know what he's like as a person or anything else
ALL I KNOW IS EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF HIS MOVIES THAT I'VE SEEN HAVE BEEN THE BEST MOVIES THAT I'VE SEEN
The Rock
Armageddon
Both Transformers
Pearl Harbor Ect.
So what if he throws a few genital jokes in his movies
let's be honest
everyone talks exactly how they do with his movies....joke for joke, word for word
that's what makes them good movies
the realism of the dialogue instead of holding back like most directors with all that fake bullshit!
when it comes to movies I LIKE MICHAEL BAY'S STYLE
the blockbusters speak for themselves

u cant be a multi millionaire without a few million people liking what you do....most people come on these sites and rant and rave about there problems with a movie instead of stopping to think of the artistry involved
if you only knew the time and resources it takes just to make a SCRIPT for a film let alone the movie itself! I know a bad movie when i see the previews and i've never once wasted my money on a bad movie and the $7.75 i spent on Michael Bay's movies were worth it
I saw Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen twice
I've never in my entire life gone to see, and spent my own money, a movie twice!!!
KUDOS to Michael Bay
I respect his work no matter how he is in person
