And Now... The 'Twilight' Video Game!
Filed under: Action, Drama, Tech Stuff, Games and Game Movies
Once upon a time, there was a Twilight massively multiplayer online role-playing game being developed called Twilight Online. Think World of Warcraft but for Twihards. They were shut down (one would imagine by Summit, who is making oodles of cash from tie-ins -- have you been to your local Blockbuster and picked up your very own couch pillow with Jacob's face on it?) and the developer is now working on something called "Nebulous Blood." (Read more about Twilight Online over at Geekologie since the details of the game are no longer on its official website.)The first Twilight video game, one of many that's sure to come, is a trivia game that's part of the "Scene It?" game series. It is currently available as an iPhone app and a DVD game, and now even Wii and Nintendo DS players will be able to give their Twilight skillz a workout as well on November 24th. The console games are from Konami, a pretty damn solid game publisher that's behind great games like the Metal Gear Solid series, Silent Hill, Dance Dance Revolution, and even the recent Saw game.
Twilight game deets are hiding on the other side of the jump.
• Rich-media trivia content: Over 500 multiple choice questions based on movie clips, music and audio from the Twilightmovie.
• New user interface: The new Scene It? Twilight Wii version presents a new look and feel, giving fans a great reason to play both the Wii and the DVD boardgame versions.
• Motion functionality: Use your Wii Remote to buzz in and beat your opponent!
• New gameplay modes: Single and multi-player modes and new scoring systems keep the game close, exciting and challenging enough to please all Twilight fans.
Personally, I think this is a very smart move on Summit's part, as the fastest growing gaming audience are casual gamers and women. I haven't played the game yet -- maybe I should.
What do you think, Twilighters? Are you going to pick up the game? And more importantly, should I give it a go? Vote in the comments. I will play it and get back to you if you demand it!

I love the series, I loved the first film, I love Twilight Source's podcast "Imprint", and I will still not play this game.
I cannot see any Twilight fan being interested in trivia questions about the series. It's the last game I'd want to see with that license.
I mean really - Harry Potter has set the bar incredibly low with their run on 19 horrible video games. Twilight could easily be an MMOG for consoles, and it would see billions of copies. Who doesn't want to be a character from the series. There'd be vampires and werewolves killing each other 24 hours a day.
Instead, we're presented what amounts to a tear off calendar version of a video game. Oh great, I've always wanted to know how much Kristen Stewart's wardrobe cost.
No no no.
*--- The preceding was a male's perspective of the series, and this "game", for those of you who still don't understand that MEN read books as well. ---*

I love the game!!! Anything to do with the Twilight series I love! I've read all the books and I love them and the movies as well. My friend and I (who are die hard fans) love to play the game together. Can't wait for different types of Twilight games are made and can't wait until Eclipse hits the movies in June!!!!!
