Exclusive: Kristen Stewart Reacts To The 'Eclipse' Trailer
Filed under: Interviews, Trailers and Clips

Earlier today, Cinematical sat down with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning to talk about their new movie The Runaways, in which the actresses play Cherie Currie and Joan Jett, two of the founding members of the eponymous all-girl rock band. (Look for a full-length, exclusive interview with the duo in the weeks to come.) Following our discussion of the ins and outs of playing real-life rock stars, talk turned to the new 90-second trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which debuted online this morning.
When I asked if either of them got to see the trailer, Stewart and Fanning turned to one another for reactions. "Did you watch it?" Stewart asked Fanning.
"No, I didn't," Fanning replied. "I watched it," Stewart said with enthusiasm. When I prodded her for specific feelings, she said, "Well, it's really fast, isn't it? It's sort of like a couple of pictures strung together. But it looks good – it looks good! I think Taylor [Lautner] looks really great. Like, he looks very strong and I love his voice in it," she said. "He's good in it."
What did you think of the trailer? Let us know with your comments below!

Like doped up cheese for the right viewer. Possibly even crashing a server or two somewhere, but I'm not in the demographic, so my assessment would be unfair. Oh hell...treacly crap.

For crying out loud, will Kristen Stewart & Summit stop pushing Taylor Lautner down our throats!! Can't stand the puppet & their constant pushing & fawning over is just making it worse.

Not impressed. Even Kristen implied that it wasn't all that great either, "Well, it's really fast, isn't it? It's sort of like a couple of pictures strung together." Love how she saves herself by drawing the attention to how "great" taylor lautner was in it, and his voice by the way, sounded like he's was on the verge of falling asleep.

Summit isn't pushing Taylor down anyone's throat. If it was Rob she was talking about people would be exploding about their everlasting love. Relax. Summit doesn't control what Kristen says. Stop the Taylor Hate.

I'm one of those people that doesn't really love or hate twilight and watched the trailer curiosity. I didn't like it. Eclipse the book has a lot more to it than that and if this is what the movie is focusing on than I'm not interested. Taylor seemed mechanical at best and the dialogue they chose for the trailer was disappointing. Trailers should draw you in. They should be exciting, whether or not the movie is actually any good, they should make you want to watch. Its a teaser; thats the point. I think I want to see the movie even less now than before.

I love it and can't wait for the movie. I really like Taylor but I'm tired of hearing about his body. There is more to him then just his body. He's a great actor. Good at sports. He will try anything and everything. (stunts, etc..., I mean) He's smart and not full of himself. He's a great guy.

I Loved It.. But Then Again I Love Anythin Tht Has Robert In it.. Im Goin To Go See His Movie Tomorrow... I Mean A Trailer Is Juss to Give U A Glimpse Of Whts GOin To Happen.. I mean I Think They Could Have Made It A lil longer But It Shows Most Of Whts Goin On In The Book.. Some Of Those Quotes Were In The Book.. I like The Waii They Tried To Make It Seem Tht The Volturi Was Talkin Bout Bella Not Being Turned Yet... They Were Really Talkin Bout Bree A Vampire Tht Surrendered Herself To The Cullens... But Other Then Tht I Loved It... I Dont KNoe Why Kristen Said Tht About Taylor But It Must be For A Reason.. Maybe To Get Her Name Out the Robert N her Love Story.. Her Opinion Is Her Opinion... Robert I Love u

In spite of all negative comments about him, I still think Rob is really good in his work, professional, versatile and unique. All bad chats are dictated by envy.
Of course comparisons between books and movies go always to the detriment of movies.

I would like to have seen some of the newbie vampire army. And the wolves. Something to balance out the saccharin.

its just a trailer, relax! I would like to save all the amazing fighting scenes and the juicy romance until the time I'm watching in theater. new moon was like throwing too much for the trailers and I was nothing to surprise when I watch it in theater. so, be patient, we'll see... =)

You notice they didn't show any of the battle scenes... I was disappointed at first, but then I have faith in David slade, he knows how to make things scary...
I just really wished rob would stop acting in pain ALL the time. Edward is playful too... YOU CAN DO IT ROB! I BELIEVE!!!

I understand what you're saying. I thought the exact same thing. Then I remembered that every time he is near Bella he smells his what he called "heroin" but he has to resist every time because of his "vegetarianism" and because he is madly in love with her and would be guilt beyond imagination for causing any kind of pain to her. He feels guilty for things that he didn't even do. Sorry to drone on, I'm kinda scaring myself about how much I analyze the characters and everything. Haha. I just think that's the way he saw Edward in his head, always fighting that aroma and having the complicated life of being a vampire (and I think only eating animals adds to the temptation because he hasn't had human blood in so long, if I had to stop eating something and then everyday I was exposed for so long I'd imagine I'd be that way too)

If you read the books you would know he is in pain! Despite the love he feels for Bella, she causes him pain because he cannot "have" her!

It' just rob seemed to be ALWAYS frowning. I know edward is quite a pessimist, but where's that crooked smile we never see anymore?

I didn't think the trailer was as good as the one for New Moon, but Eclipse was my favorite of the books. I expect the movie to follow the book so it will be much more than the little bit that was shown in the trailer.

The only thing more ridiculous than this trumped-up piece of nonsense is the horde of devotees who think it's something wonderful. It's not only silly, it's a typical example of the total lack of good taste and sense that the American viewing/reading public now epitomizes...what a crock of pure crap! Silly, silly, silly...
