WHERE DO YOU WRITE FROM?
The closest thing to a lair that Orlando, Florida can claim to offer.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO WRITE ABOUT MOVIES?
This might seem simplistic and familiar, but it really was a matter of dovetailing interests between both film and writing. I wrote for my high school paper; after that, my college paper; and shortly after that, eFilmCritic.com. Following what turned out to be an exceedingly strategic session of text messaging on my part and maybe a coin flip or two on theirs, these guys brought me into the fold, and I couldn't be prouder to contributing to one of the best film sites around.
I mean, if I weren't writing for them, I'd still be reading it.
Hell, I might even pay...
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE GENRE?
Your typical subtitled, action-packed, horror docudramedy.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES?
At the moment, and in alphabetical order: About a Boy, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Airplane!, Alien, Aliens, Almost Famous, Die Hard, Election, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, North by Northwest, The Royal Tenenbaums, Singin' in the Rain, Some Like It Hot, To Kill a Mockingbird, When Harry Met Sally....
WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE DIRECTORS?
No need for that plural, because there's only room in my heart for one: Paul Weiland.
WHAT'S THE CRAZIEST COMMENT YOU'VE EVER GOTTEN?
I don't have quite as many to choose from, so for now, let's go with this gem from my Madagascar 2 trailer posting: "so box office performance bond and this as the 1 and 2 everything performs poorly? i think all others should stay at home and not eve release anything. both movies i want to see the peenguins were funny as hell. they deserve their own movie but straight to dvd i dont think they could be a box office hit unless they really got top shelf writers for it and reallllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyy worked on it"
WHAT ARE THE BEST PERKS OF THIS GIG?
The floss. Literally, every month, I get sent a free sample of dental floss, and to say that it brightens my day - not to mention my teeth - is an understatement to understatements.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT WRITING FOR CINEMATICAL?
Again, knowing that I've been extended the opportunity to write among those whom I'd be just as eager to read.
