But before Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hits theaters on May 22, you're going to want to get reacquainted with an old friend -- and that's where we come in: The winners of our three favorite captions will take home one Indiana Jones The Adventure Collection DVD boxed set, which includes: Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom & The Last Crusade. That's it to the right; ain't it purty? (Click to enlarge.) In honor of our friend Indy, it's now time for you to start whippin' out those captions! Things didn't get too physical in the comments section, and I think we all agreed that Simon Pegg was definitely NOT bringing sexy back. However, according to our winner Christina D., he might be bringing something just a tad less ... manageable.

This week we're sticking with boys who like to get dirty and sweaty. Not boys, men! Men who like to play with balls. (I think I'll stop here.) Yes, we're here to talk about Leatherheads -- that upcoming old school football flick starring George Clooney, John Krasinski and Renée Zellweger. The three sports behind our favorite captions will walk away with one Leatherheads poster, one Leatherheads t-shirt, one Leatherheads hat and one Leatherheads calendar. Not to mention you'll score a winning touchdown with our staff. So lace up gang, and give us everything you've got! Last week, we asked you to cuddle up next to James McAvoy and Keira Knightley (which one do you think hogs the bed?) and give us your best captions for a photo from Atonement. There was a DVD and two pretty awesome beach cruisers at stake for one lucky winner. Congrats to Shane M. for blaming the whole thing on a little girl with a big mouth (I guess it's better than blaming it on a little guy with big muscles).

And speaking of little guys and big muscles, this week we're taking a look at a photo from the very funny Run, Fat Boy, Run (which hits theaters on March 28), starring the always-reliable Simon Pegg as a guy who takes on some serious training in order to win back the girl he let get away. And if that doesn't look exactly like me when I'm at the gym -- wow, it's like staring into a wimpy mirror. Maybe I should shut up now. Anyway, winners of our three favorite captions will run, not walk, away with one Run, Fat Boy, Run poster, one sports bottle, one sweat band, one pair of running shorts and one Nike jacket. C'mon, it's officially Spring -- time to climb out of that cave and get into shape! Sound off below fitness freaks.

Yeah ... so what's the deal with that? Congrats to David L. for providing us with a winning caption ... about nothing.

Welcome back to another fantastical edition of Insert Caption -- where you write something funny and we give you free stuff. This week is packed with announcements, so we're gonna jump right in. First off, remember that Vespa we gave away two weeks ago? You remember -- it was only the greatest prize we've ever put up in the history of the site. Well, we all debated this one hardcore, but there was one caption that just hit everyone in a certain spot, in a certain way, and so congrats to Colt H. for giving us the following winning caption:

Last week, we asked you to scope out a photo from this weekend's big release, 10,000 B.C., and provide us with the wittiest caption possible. I have to hand it to you folks this time around, because the captions rocked! While, as always, your filthy minds were at play (leave that poor cat alone!), three captions stood out among the rest:

2. Unlike his great grandson Siegfried, Hershel wasn't quite so animal savvy. -- Eric W.

3. Yes, I definitely want my nipples pierced, I was just hoping you had a smaller needle. -- Julie D.

Finally, this week we're looking for your best captions for the below photo from the very funny animated flick Bee Movie, starring the voice of Jerry Seinfeld as a bee who leaves the hive, learns humans are stealing honey for their own consumption and proceeds to sue the entire human race. The three winning captions will walk away with their very own copy of Bee Movie on DVD -- for those times when you and your honey are in the mood to snuggle up to something sweet. (Aren't I lame?) Sound off below!

Seriously. It's disgusting. The jealousy just pours out into this liquid goo that sticks to everything. This week, we're wrapping our caption claws around Summit Entertainment's Penelope, starring Christina Ricci, James McAvoy and Reese Witherspoon. Now check this out -- one Grand Prize winner will ride away with a brand spanking new yellow Vespa LX 50 (pictured right, and courtesy of Vespa -- click on the image for a larger version).

That's right! And all you have to do is come up with the wittiest caption for the photo of Christina Ricci on a park bench below. The contest officially begins right now, and you have until 12:01am on Wednesday, February 27th to enter.
Last week, we asked you to come up with captions for a photo from Charlie Bartlett -- and as much as we loved your toe-tapping toilet humor, we ultimately decided that Josh B. provided all the right caption-winning ingredients.

Look at movie photo. Insert caption. Win awesome prizes. Repeat. Last week, we asked you to get all kinds of witty for a photo from the new romantic comedy Definitely, Maybe, starring Ryan Reynolds as a guy who definitely knows how to entertain little Abigail Breslin with stories from his past. Throw a bunch of C.D.'s (what are those?) into the equation, and the musical references -- combined with your admiration for Mr. Reynolds -- were plentiful (and somewhat hilarious). Congrats to Bob B. who turned Ashlee Simpson (who's she?) into a household name ... again.

1. "I don't know how she does it, but Ashlee Simpson really knows how to speak to me in a way few artists can." -- Bob B.

2. "Ryan comes clean after castmates uncover a long hidden secret from his past, as Ricky Reynolds, the first American boy in the 1984 reformation of the boy band Menudo." -- Eric W.

3. "I'll be honest with you, I love his music, I do, I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman"". -- Anthony G.

The film stars Anton Yelchin as a rich kid who becomes the self-appointed psychiatrist to the student body of his new high school. (And can you guess where he holds most of his sessions? Hint: There's more than enough paper to go around.) One lucky grand prize winner will get to take home a totally sweet original Charlie Bartlett painting designed by pro skater/icon Steve Caballero. You can check out the painting to the right, and click on it for a larger version. Sound off below fellow captioners ... but do take it easy on the toilet humor. Zing!

Last week we asked you to give us your best captions for a photo from this weekend's new release, Fool's Gold. And gosh, we never knew so many of you were obsessed with a shirtless Matthew McConaughey. Is it the muscles? It's the muscles, ain't it? Congrats to Alex C. for dishing out a Dazed and Confused reference that was just too good to pass up.

3. "Here, let me draw it out for you. You see, I take two steps forward, and you take two steps back. We come together 'cuz opposites attract. Get it?" -- KOW

This week, you'll definitely (not maybe, definitely!) want to enter our caption contest, in which we're celebrating the upcoming release of Definitely, Maybe, starring Ryan Reynolds and Little Miss Sunshine herself, Abigail Breslin. Reynolds plays a political consultant who finds himself in a revealing place when his 11-year-old daughter begins to grill him on his past relationships. One Grand Prize winner will take home one signed Definitely Maybe poster, one Definitely Maybe girls' fitted T-shirt, one photo album, one journal, and one baseball hat. Additionally, two runner-ups will receive one Definitely Maybe poster, one Definitely Maybe girls' fitted T-shirt, one photo album, one journal, and one baseball hat. Is it the setting, the dialogue, the actors, the sex? And when your snuggling up next to your significant other this Valentine's Day, which films will you prefer to slide into the DVD player? Moviefone has assembled the definitive list -- the top 25 romance films of all time -- and now it's up to you to decide what they got right, what they got wrong and what they didn't get at all. Of course, Casablanca tops off the list at number one (is there a list in which Casablanca is not featured in the numero uno spot?), but following closely behind are Titanic (#2), Wuthering Heights (#3), An Affair to Remember (#4) and Gone with the Wind (#5). Obviously, when we're talking romance flicks, they don't make them like they used to.

When it comes to films made within the past few years, we don't find one until Brokeback Mountain shows up at number 12, followed by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind at number 15, and last year's Atonement at 18. Personally, I have a few issues with placement -- not so much with the films themselves -- like why Sleepless in Seattle is at 25 when it should've been higher. Films that didn't make the cut? Surprisingly, not many romantic comedies made the list. Even though they rely more on humor, some of us enjoy a little laughter with our cheesy romance. That being said, why not throw When Harry Met Sally a bone? Or even last year's Knocked Up? Either way, let us know what you think about the list below -- which films belong in different spots, which don't belong on the list at all and which are your favorites?

Permalink | Email this | Comments
