Maybe it's not your cup of tea, but I'm continually impressed with the original content College Humor puts out each month. Okay, not all of it is comedic gold, but there's definitely enough of the good stuff to wonder who, exactly, is behind all these hilarious shorts ... because I think they should be writing some big-screen comedy so that we don't have to deal with more mall cops and bad Eddie Murphy fat suit humor.
My buddy Aaron sent over their latest video this morning, and it recreates the Pixar opening (ya know, Luxo Jr. hops over to the letter 'I' in Pixar and stomps on it), but instead -- and in the spirit of Halloween -- they go the horrific angle and imagine a scenario in which the other letters freak out and accuse Luxo Jr. of murdering their buddy. From there they go to a funeral for the letter 'I', Luxo Jr. goes to prison and, well, just watch it for yourself after the jump.
I know College Humor have or had a TV show, though I never got around to watching it. Is it good? Is it worth watching?

We've all been down that bumpy road before: You're sitting across from a friend who's just dying to talk about last night's [insert TV show] episode and/or the movie they saw over the weekend, but you're deathly afraid of them spoiling the whole thing. And even though you tell them not to spoil it while they continue to pretend as if they're slowly stepping around all the details ("Yes, I know, but let me just tell you about this one scene ...") you know they're about to spoil the whole darn thing anyway. Know what I'm talking about?. Are you there with me? Happened to you over the weekend, didn't it? If so, I'm sorry.
Anyway, those nutjobs over at College Humor recently debuted a hilarious sketch called Spoiler Alert. Essentially it's the scene I described above, but with an elite team of special ops sent in to stop the spoiler from ever happening. And then pretend the entire thing was directed by Michael Bay. I shall say no more ... . (And if you know someone who's spoiling TV shows and movies, please contact your local spoiler alert team immediately.)

Office writers get College Humor: Variety in 60 Seconds

Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, both writers for
NBC's version of The Office, have been hired by Paramount to write an Animal House-style
comedy to be produced under the studio's deal with CollegeHumor.com.
Details on the film haven't been leaked, but it appears that Eisenberg and Stupinsky pitched a concept to allign with
the College Humor pact. - Brokeback Mountain continues to rope in big numbers in limited release. It gained 61% after adding just 52 screens last weekend, and is currently rocking over $13,000 per screen. Current trends show that the film is doing huge business in middle-American cities such as Nashville and Columbus, but only so-so business in suburban areas.
- Ben Fritz and John Dempsey look at the Microsoft/Starz! Vongo deal, and sneak a heretofore unseen-by-me detail into parenthses: "Movie companies have built a code into each movie to make it compatible with a Microsoft player but prevent its transfer to an unauthorized hand-held device."
