Watch This: Kickass Dr. Manhattan Video Game
Filed under: Fandom », Images », Trailers and Clips »

The above graph comes courtesy of Pixelated Geek, and it humorously pokes fun at which (ahem) "part" of Watchmen is discussed most amongst moviegoers exiting the movie theater. Obviously Dr. Manhattan's nudity has awoken the silly sex-less third-grader in all of us ("ooohh look -- he's, like, naked in the front, too!" -- but that still doesn't mean we can't shave some hilarity off the whole situation. Aside from the graph, Liquid Generation created this fairly raunchy (and NSFW) mock up of an old school video game featuring Dr. Manhattan fighting off baddies (and the Jolly Green Giant) with his big blue lightsaber. Don't ask me why folks spend all sorts of time putting stuff like this together, but I have to say it amused the hell out of me -- so I guess it was all worth it, right?
We've posted the video game trailer thingy after the jump because it's a tad on the NSFW side, so head behind the fold to view it. Also, for the slow ones out there, keep in mind this isn't a real video game. Enjoy.
'Watchmen' Update: Trial, New Images and Viral Sites

Regardless of when Watchmen actually hits theaters, you bet your brand new Dr. Manhattan lunch box that Warner Bros. will make sure their film is mentioned in the press at least once a day. Heck, we live in a world right now where this sort of battle-trial between studios is the perfect marketing ploy. It's like watching two girls fight over the same guy -- automatically, that guy becomes more in demand. In the latest update, Warners wants to have the judge's January 20th decision (in which he'll decide whether to issue an injunction against the film's March 6 release) moved up to an earlier date because, in their opinion, "time is critical." And it is ... since Warners wants to spend tons on marketing the film prior to its release. Read more about this mess over at The Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, in our quest to see the entire film before a decision on its release is even made, Total Film has unveiled a set of new images (one of which you can see above). Although it's hard to go viral (a la The Dark Knight) with a film that's set in 1985, /Film tells us of a new viral site for the film centered on the fictional right-wing magazine The New Frontiersman, which comes up frequently throughout the graphic novel. There's nothing but the image of The Minutemen and a book with some tape around it right now, but apparently that tape will break in the coming days revealing a whole mess of goodies. Keep an eye out for it. Also, speaking of graphic novel tie-ins, the animated Tales of the Black Freighter feature -- which will appear on the Watchmen DVD -- has been rated R for violent and grisly images.
Until we're told differently, Watchmen is set to arrive in theaters and on IMAX screens on March 6.
Six New 'Watchmen' Character Posters!

It's a Watchmen week! New photos and posters are hitting the Internet this week, presumably in anticipation of the second trailer that's attached to Quantum of Solace. Yesterday Erik posted a new Rorschach-themed poster that had popped up on Yahoo! Movies over the weekend, now we have six new ones (including an extra Rorschach) to accompany it.Warner Bros. released the six character posters all across the Internet -- and we were able to collect most of them here in our gallery, except for the one the boys most want to see. Silk Spectre is over on your left, watermarked to MTV's Splash Page, but if you click her, you'll be taken to her full length version. I'm as straight as can be, but even I can't take my eyes off her latex. Wow.
Please give a visit and a nod to the other sites that were graced with these cool images -- my personal favorite of the bunch, The Comedian, was posted over at the always awesome Hero Complex (who will have more Watchmen images later today). Dr. Manhattan was posted in a tiny, low-res version at Entertainment Weekly. (Come on, where's the big version, guys?) The really cool Ozymandias poster, costarring Bubastis, debuted over at Wired. Nite Owl comes by way of Access Hollywood, accompanied there by an automatic video of Patrick Wilson. And everyone's favorite vigilante, Rorschach, got his second poster of the week courtesy of USA Today.
They really are pretty glorious to look upon. And now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to furiously exercise in order to wake up resembling Malin Akerman.
