Mel Gibson Redeems Self with Trailer for 'The Colonel'
Filed under: Action », Comedy », Drama », War », Trailers and Clips »
After covering the Oscars this past Sunday for what seemed like hours (because they were), I watched the montage of 2009 films to come before promptly shutting off my set. Well, leave it to Weinberg to point out shortly thereafter that Mel Gibson was going to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and leave it to me to go ahead and grab my remote like the bell-hearing dog that I am. It wasn't anything against Kimmel -- even if I think the funniest thing he's ever done was Sarah Silverman (and we all know how that turned out) -- but out of morbid curiosity, I went ahead and put it on.
Holy hell, Kimmel and an oddly bearded Gibson were swapping "shalom" jokes and frankly discussing his infamous DUI incident before Kimmel plugged the alternate endings on the Passion of the Christ Blu-ray. Then came the capper: a glimpse of Mel's latest secretive project, which we've embedded above and found to be a surprisingly hilarious look at romance, revenge, and secret recipes.
What do you guys and girls think? Does this endear either Gibson or Kimmel the slightest in your eyes?
Watch This: Mark Wahlberg Threatens Andy Samberg's Big F**king Nose

I'm not sure if you've been following Saturday Night Live over the past few weeks, but they've made some viral waves with a few sketches -- most notably Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impersonation, but also with Andy Samberg's Mark Wahlberg in a hilarious skit called Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals. Of course, it didn't take long for someone to catch the real Wahlberg (who's conveniently making the TV rounds promoting his new flick Max Payne) and ask him what he thought of the sketch.
Guess what? He didn't like it. Not only did he not like it, but he also told Jimmy Kimmel that next time he sees Andy Samberg, he's going "to crack that big f**king nose of his." All kidding aside, though, Wahlberg does seem a bit flattered he was chosen, though he admits to wanting something a bit more "legendary" and says they're trying to figure out a way for him to appear on SNL tonight. He notes [via Vulture], "I wasn't unhappy with it. It's just that after seeing the Tina Fey–Sarah Palin thing you were kind of hoping for something on that level. That's legendary. But they actually called and asked me if I would do something on the show this weekend, but I can't stay until Saturday, so maybe we'll film something in L.A."
Check out the video of Wahlberg on Kimmel below, then we've provided the original SNL sketch for those who missed it after the jump. Oh ... and say hi to your mother for me.
Update: Wahlberg appeared on SNL tonight with Andy Samberg in a pretty funny follow-up skit. We'll add video when it's available -- what did you think of it? Funnier than the original?
Update 2: New Wahlberg SNL video with Samberg after the jump.
'F**king Matt Damon' Lands Writer/Director His First Gig

There have always been those great Hollywood stories about how people got their big break. We all know the one about Lana Turner being discovered in a drugstore, and Steven Spielberg sneaking onto the lot in his Dad's suit (even though it never happened). But, how about the guy who's famous for writing a song about 'F**king Matt Damon'? Variety reports that Wayne McClammy has been hired to direct the comedy Cool School for 20th Century Fox.Up until now, McClammy was best known as one of the writers behind the original comedy song with Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon. But, he was also responsible for the slightly less funny response from Jimmy Kimmel and Ben Affleck. McClammy was a *
Cool School centers on a group of ad-men in their 30's who feel like they have become out of touch in their middle age. The group is shuttled off to high school in hopes of learning how to be 'cool'. The story was written by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman and casting will begin as soon as a final polish on the script has been completed.
*Correction: McClammy was a field director for Jimmy Kimmel Live
Now Elizabeth Banks is F**king Seth Rogen!

I guess hearing musical numbers about different celebrities f**king each other is going to be all the rage for the next little while. On the heels of the highly successful Sarah Silverman/Matt Damon gag, and the only slightly less funny revenge song courtesy of Silverman's boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel and Ben Affleck, comes a contribution from Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks from the set of Zack and Miri make a Porno (courtesy of Quick Stop Entertainment)It's pretty much the same jokes as the other two videos but with one notable difference; this time there is not a 'bleep' to be heard. Honestly, maybe that's what's missing; sometimes a well-placed bleep can almost be funnier than the naughty word itself. But, this is marketing for a Kevin Smith movie after all, so get ready for some truly crude lyrics; funny, but kind of gross. As for the cameos? Don't go looking for any A-listers in this video, but Jason Mewes, Traci Lords and Craig Robinson all make a brief appearance (but I guess they kind of had too since they are in the movie after all).
Smith and company are still shooting the romantic comedy about two childhood friends who get into the porn business. Rehearsal finished back in January and now Smith has begun shooting on location in *

VIDEO: Jimmy Kimmel is F**king Ben Affleck!

I crashed pretty much right after the Oscars last night, but I convinced my wife to leave the TV on in bed in order to watch a little of whatever Jimmy Kimmel was going to do for his post-Oscars show. And, to my delight, he chose the time to seek his revenge on girlfriend Sarah Silverman and her "I'm f**king Matt Damon" music video. Oh yes, Kimmel took his video -- "I'm f**king Ben Affleck" -- to the next level. Not only did it open with a Brad Pitt cameo, but by the time it was over, a group of people were singing in a "We are the World" format; folks like Don Cheadle, Huey Lewis, Robin Williams, Joan Jett, McLovin', Lance Bass ... and Harrison Ford. Yes! Harrison friggin' Ford driving a car with a bumper stick that read, "Honk if you're f**king Ben Affleck." I don't know how in the world they convinced Mr. Serious to appear in this thing, but nevertheless the entire thing was a riot.
Check out the video above. And in case you missed the Silverman/Damon video that started this whole thing, you can view it after the jump. Enjoy.
Video of the Day: Sarah Silverman is F**king Matt Damon!

A good friend of mine sent me this link a little while ago and I was cracking up. I'm not the biggest fan of Sarah Silverman's shtick, but this video -- which apparently aired last night on the Jimmy Kimmel Show -- is beyond awesome. Kimmel and Silverman have been dating for a long time, and I imagine this is some sort of inside joke (or not) designed to f*ck with Kimmel hardcore. I don't watch his show, and so I'm not sure whether this video comes with a long back-story, but if you know more about it, definitely let us know.
Actually, as I'm writing this, the video just popped up over at Entertainment Weekly and Slashfilm as well. They both say it's a long-running Kimmel Show punch line, so there ya go. But seriously, watch and enjoy. Fun stuff!
Watching the video reminds me of this one, also featuring Matt Damon. Note to self: Never leave my wife alone with Matt Damon.
