Watch This: 'My Little Pony' Live Action Trailer

Just when you thought it was safe to fall in love with those cute, cuddly multi-colored horses all over again ...

These days no old school toy is safe from a movie makeover, and the folks from SecretSauce.tv have taken that to another level by producing a pretty funny trailer for the live-action summer blockbuster version of My Little Pony. In the spirit of films like Transformers, this version of My Little Pony follows a group of regular, everyday citizens who must stand up to what appears to be an invasion of multi-colored horses from another planet. What do they want with earth? Why, to occupy it for themselves -- that's what!

Sure, the production budget is a tad low and the effects look horrific -- but I gather that's the point. (It's also incredibly timely, hence the spoof image above from the latest Revenge of the Fallen trailer.) Make sure you stick around to the very end, as the final shot is definitely my favorite. Fan Made: Movie My Little Ponies

For all those little girls (who are now big girls, reading Cinematical and generally kicking ass) who would have just liked My Little Pony more if she'd come with guns and clothes comes these quirky creations. One artist decided to take matters into her own hands. Mari Kasurinen has made My Little Pony into the Bride, Slave Leia, Batman and Robin, the Joker, Jack Sparrow, and Edward Scissorhands, among many others. There's even an Alien one that you can buy for Scott Weinberg, who will be forced to put it on his desk, because the man loves his Alien.

My favorites are definitely the Bride pictured above (though I am perplexed as to how she wields a katana with hooves) and the Batman and Robin. That little Robin is so sweet and cute that it actually hurts to look at him.

It looks like Ms. Kasurinen takes custom orders if there's a Pony you're dying to have made -- but they'll cost you as they run about 350 UKP. That means we can't order one for Weinberg (sorry, buddy) but at least looking at them is free. But I just know that somewhere out there, there's a fan with money to burn, and a need for a My Little Pony Rorschach. If you're that person send us the pictures, will you?
