If I know Cinematical readers, I know you'd like an early taste of Inglourious Basterds, even if you had to read it and are you in luck today! Quentin Tarantino handed Playboy Magazine a Nazi killing scene, and the picture-friendly magazine handed it to R.M. Guera. The result is six pages, and only six, of a Basterds graphic novel. Unfortunately, the flash player Playboy housed it in is really clunky, and would be impossible to navigate beyond six pages.

To those of you who read the script, this won't be anything new. If you're like me and know nothing of the film beyond trailers, tv spots, and the joyful whoops of your friends on Twitter, then this will be fresh and unusual. It will also be a little nightmarish because dang, could Guera have made Eli Roth and Brad Pitt any more scary looking?

If you want to see the film unspoiled, avoid it, but if you want to see just where that scene of Roth, his baseball hat, and a Nazi's skull originates and leads to, read on. It's fun stuff, and makes me wish Tarantino would borrow a page from Joss Whedon, and do a few comic books that run with all his intertwined characters and Red Apple cigarettes. While I certainly don't want an origin story for Stuntman Mike or Bill, we might finally get all those side stories or leaps into the future he constantly teases us about.

You might not know it yet, and she might not know it yet, but the female answer to Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen and all those, well, dudes, has finally arrived in the form of ... a Playboy bunny? In her latest film The House Bunny, Anna Faris plays a Playboy bunny who's kicked out of the mansion, and, in searching for a new place to crash, stumbles into the dorkiest sorority house on campus and signs up to be their house mother. It's a familiar PG-13 comedy that doesn't exactly re-invent the wheel, but if there's one reason to see the film, it's Faris. Here, at least, she proves there's definitely room for big, female-centric comedies in Hollywood.

Cinematical sat down with Faris earlier this week, where we spoke about her new film, what it's like to be on the cover of Playboy and how, exactly, she went from starring in dramatic theater productions in Seattle to landing the lead role in a little comedy called Scary Movie.

Cinematical: So congrats on landing the cover of Playboy!

Anna Faris: [laughs] Thank you!

Cinematical: What's up with that? Was anyone caught by surprise or freaked out at seeing you on the cover?

AF: Yeah, I thought it was awesome -- it was rad -- and that all my ex-boyfriends would think, ya know ...

Cinematical: They'd be feverishly flipping through the pages thinking your career was over and this was a last ditch effort to do whatever ...

AF: [laughs] Probably ... but yeah, it was great. Ya know, we planned it awhile ago and just wanted it to tie into the film and all that. My parents are pretty conservative, but they were really happy and excited for me. In fact, I'm taking them to the premiere tomorrow, which the party afterwards is at the [Playboy] mansion ... so [laughs] I'm going to try to drag them up there.

Well, he played the role of one playboy successfully -- why couldn't he take on another? That seems to be the buzz this weekend, and the Chicago Sun Times reports that Playboy magazine's Hugh Hefner is very interested in having Robert Downey Jr. play him in an upcoming biopic after watching the actor shine on screen in Iron Man. Granted, Hefner is no Tony Stark -- however, I imagine each has slept with roughly the same amount of women.

According to the paper, a rep for Downey Jr. said the actor is interested but still waiting to see a script and hear who's directing it. Oh, that's right my friends -- Brett Ratner is no longer attached to the project (so says the Chicago Sun Times), though there's a chance he may return. The film, which has the working title of Playboy, will most probably track the long (and very successful) life of Hugh Hefner. Leonardo DiCaprio was once rumored to be in the running to play Hef as well.
