A new trailer for The Incredible Hulk has just arrived online, and I'm definitely diggin' it. This is the trailer currently playing before Speed Racer, and, is it just me, or is that a little tease of the classic TV show's music there at the end. Have we heard any of that yet? Maybe I missed it in another trailer, but I first noticed it just now -- and, man, did it take me back.* This new preview gives us a whole lotta Hulk and no Abomination -- just Hulk running and smashing things, like those two cars he's holding up at the end. (Does insurance cover a monster destroying your automobile?)

The Incredible Hulk stars Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt and Tim Blake Nelson. The film marks Marvel's second self-financed flick, following the very successful Iron Man, and it was directed by Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, The Transporter 2). So now that you've gotten a good look at three trailers and tons of images from the film, whaddya think? Worth a shot? As good or better than Iron Man? It's here, in glorious Quicktime, and not a moment too soon for a June movie. Head over to Apple to watch it. This trailer is a vast improvement on the first, shades of the television show abounding everywhere. And this is definitely going to be much more action packed than Ang Lee's version. Erik Davis was right on the money in his NYCC report -- read his take on the trailer here.

I can't help but feel it was too long though -- between the two trailers, I feel like I've seen the whole movie, barring 18 minutes of that purported 20 minute fight between Abomination and Hulk. The encounter (pictured above) between Tim Roth and the Hulk is absolutely priceless, though. I won't say what it is and spoil it -- but I can't say I haven't wanted to do the same to a few of Roth's nastier characters.

You know that room Willy Wonka takes everyone in -- the one full of candy, and then the fat kid gets sucked into the chocolate pipe? For a geek, Comic Con is that room. Actually, Comic Con is like visiting 60 or 70 of those rooms for an entire weekend. I'm not even what you'd call a geek, gamer or fanboy, and I get absolutely overwhelmed each and every time I attend one of these conventions. It's seriously like losing yourself in another universe for awhile -- and then you get to watch a really sick trailer ... or three.

NY Comic Con blew the f*ck (pardon my French) up this year. Last year, they hosted Hostel II and The Hills Have Eyes 2. This year, they had Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Wanted, The Incredible Hulk, The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Speed Racer, The Dark Knight, The Spirit, Prince Caspian ... and much more. Yup. In one year, NYCC has seriously kicked things up a notch and I was happy to be a part of the fun.

I'll do a whole recap thingy tomorrow (the scene they showed from Hulk brought the house down -- huge highlight for me), but in the meantime check out all these pics I took throughout the day. They're not all perfect, but they give you a pretty good idea of what it was like walking around, oblivious and in desperate need of some lunch. What do you think of the trailer, after this incredibly long wait?

I don't think it's particularly inspiring myself. It doesn't look like Edward Norton really added anything special -- and I was expecting more out of someone with his caliber. Maybe there was just too much hype and expectation. (Or maybe it's just the trailer!)

The action looks solid though. Who doesn't love to see two giant monsters fighting each other on the streets of New York? And I definitely dig the chase element. It's fun to imagine the Hulk hiding fearfully in alleys and dingy apartments, afraid of being caught.

And this supporting cast is certainly excellent. No one makes a better bad guy than Tim Roth. But couldn't they at least have given Liv Tyler one line of dialog? And not made her wear glasses to look like a Smart Sexy Science Girl?

The Incredible Hulk stomps across the globe on June 13.

In an interesting move, it was announced today that the first trailer for The Incredible Hulk will arrive in theaters on June 13, and screen in front of prints of the actual film! I kid, I kid. Actually, according to SH, the first trailer for The Incredible Hulk will debut in early March -- most likely in front of 10,000 B.C. (on March 7). Earlier today, we asked you folks why love for the new Hulk film hasn't been as strong as we had all thought. And, as of right now, 44% of you feel it's because the marketing for the film has been way too light thus far. However, perhaps the studio was waiting for The Dark Knight, Iron Man and Indiana Jones to get all their crap out of the way first; maybe they've been itching to drop the full hammer in March all along?

The announcement came as part of Marvel's fourth quarter and full year operating results. Additionally, because of the writer's strike, Marvel says they will only release one in-house film in the latter part of 2009, instead of two (like they're doing this year with Iron Man and Hulk). That film, some suggest, will be the Matthew Vaughn-directed Thor. Or, it could be Ant-Man, Captain America or The Avengers. Yet, Thor seems to be the flick with the most work done already.

... is not online yet, but a description of what appears to be the first trailer has popped up over at AICN. A scooper attended the Toy Fair in Germany where movies like Iron Man, Star Trek XI and The Incredible Hulk were being promoted. The new Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series was on hand too, and it was announced that the first three episodes would screen theatrically in Europe this September, which pretty much means we'll get the same thing here in the states. As far as the first footage for The Incredible Hulk goes, the scooper felt that what they were watching was, indeed, the first trailer (which we hope will debut sometime in the next week or so). Here's the description (and beware of spoilers below) ...

"The scene opens with Edward Norton meditating. We see images of a lab, experiments, Banner escaping from the (Russian?) military (led by William Hurt and Tim Roth), running in the streets, kissing Liv Tyler, guns, shooting, more running... The 'trailer' ends with Abomination walking towards Hulk. Remember the end of Rocky III? Apollo Creed wants to hit Rocky in their friendly duel? That's exactly the way the trailer ends. Abomination wants to hit Hulk. Hulk wants to hit Abomination, but before it actually happens the trailer is over. Abomination looks like a Hulk with the Voldemort face from the first Harry Potter movie. A really mean motha. He sure is a great opponent. I thought the shown footage was awesome. It promises much more action than the Ang Lee movie, a great love story and an even greater fight."

Personally, I'm surprised they'd show Abomination right off the bat in the first trailer; then again, they probably want to show fans how this film will differ from the previous one immediately and build hype. Fine with me. So long as the CGI comic book creatures look cool, I'm all for it. The Incredible Hulk arrives in theaters on June 13.
