This past Sunday, The New York Times featured a popular City-section story about the first-ever prom held for students of Brooklyn's International High School. In case you don't like to read, you can simply watch the video accompaniment here. And if you don't like to read and you don't like documentary-style videos, and have a lot of patience, you can wait for the feature film, which will apparently be hitting theaters some time in the future. According to New York magazine's Vulture blog, a number of producers are interested in optioning the article, while Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have personally brought it to the attention of Paramount Pictures, where Pitt's Plan B Entertainment has a first-look deal. Supposedly an unnamed non-Paramount studio exec beat us all to the punch by joking that "maybe Maddox and the twins can star in it." Of course, he forgot about Pax and Zahara (and the twins aren't really international).

Actually, the first joke I thought about was the running gag on TV's The Critic about the kid from Easter Island who attends the United Nations School. Then, the second joke I thought of was about Brangelina's adopted children. Then I kept thinking of other things, such as how thanks to Prom Night people might assume this other prom-themed movie is also a horror flick. But that's not so much a joke as it is me trying to think on a studio exec's level (hey, we were synchronous with the Maddox bit) in order to contemplate what they'd call the thing. International Prom? A Prom for All Nations (ala the video's title)? Or will Hollywood appropriately go for one of those song-based titles? Been around the World, perhaps?

Either out of fear of what others would do with the virtual real estate, or because she thinks he daughter is going to be some sort of coding prodigy, Angelina Jolie has reportedly registered not one, not two, but 24 domain names that somehow involve the wildly pretentious name of little Shiloh Nouvel. Want to put up a suricruise.com-style (I know it's down. Either the scientologists got them or they exceeded their bandwidth -- a countdown to Suri's 18th birthday will do that.) tribute page of your own? Well, you're going to have to come up with a domain that's not, say, shilohpitt.com, or shilonouveljoliepitt.com, or shilohjolie.com ... you get the idea. (I'd recommend newmessiah.com -- maybe she missed that one.)

I can't wait to see what goes up on these sites -- I bet Suri Shiloh is going to be a great humanitarian before she can even crawl, linking visitors to any number of noble causes. She is, after all, both Jolie's daughter and, you know, a messiah. How can she not be perfect?

Ahem. So for those of you who have been on pins and needles waiting for the big announcement, here it is: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had the baby with the world's fullest lips last night in Namibia, all of Hollywood's favorite birthing-ville. (Hey, if the government is willing to stop the press at the airport on your say-so, there's something to be said for the place as a hide-away, even for the highest-maintenance of preggers celebs.)

I can't believe I just typed that headline. US Weekly, here I come...

When the tabloids started spreading the news that Angelina Jolie had turned down the role of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, most of us assumed that Angie's decision was based on the fact that she's obviously too big of a star to play what essentially amounts to a girlfriend role. But British rag The Globe (via Perez Hilton) is reporting that Angie's starry eyes aren't nearly as big as her stomach – or, read: She's freakin' preggers! If the tabs are to be believed, she wanted the part, but had to turn it down because of its action requirements. Jolie is said to be at least four months along, and as the Mirror reports today, a spy on the set of her latest film, A Good Shepherd, says her costumes have already been altered to make room for the – no, I can't. I can't do it. Okay, I can – baby bump. Perez also has a paparazzi shot of Miss Jolie, which seems to provide irrefutable evidence that the Oscar winner is, in fact, incubating a baby Brad – or else, she got caught on camera after a really big lunch.

I'm going to go wash the grease off of my soul before Bonnie Fuller sniffs it out and offers me a job. One last thought: wouldn't you rather have a pregnant Bond girl than see Jessica Simpson do it?
