From The Why Not Files: Things That Look and Sound Like Chewbacca
Filed under: Fandom », Images »

Our good friends at Urlesque are always coming up with the most random list-y type posts each and every single day -- most of which involve collecting the strangest homemade internet videos and publishing them for your viewing pleasure. I like to think of the site as an online version of America's Funniest Home Videos on acid. And because you love to occupy your time with bizarre movie-related things, Urlesque recently threw together a massive post called Things That Sound Like and Look Like Chewbacca.
Most of the images we've posted before, though there are some cool ones like the baby Chewbacca costumes and the all-LEGO Chewbacca pictured above. What I absolutely loved were the videos of things that sound like Chewbacca. From a filing cabinet to a cat to a vacuum, it's pretty amazing and creepy and a total waste of productivity, but that's what makes it so awesome. Check out two of the videos down below, with one on the front page and another after the jump. Head on over to Urlesque for the rest, and let us know if you have anything lying around the house that sounds like or looks like Chewbacca.
Fan Made: Star Wars Does Steampunk and Reservoir Dogs

We've brought you some very cool Steampunk Star Wars action figures in the past, and now comes these equally-as-cool fan made drawings of Star Wars characters over at Gorilla Artfare. Also done up all Steampunk-y, artist Björn Hurri has created a number of images for characters like Chewbacca (pictured above), Yoda (pictured below in gallery), Luke Skywalker (who looks like a cross between a steel worker and a meth addict), Han Solo (if he was 63 and still going strong) and a badass Storm Trooper (who's working a little Predator action into his Steampunk suit). We've included a couple of the images for you to check out below, then head over here to see the rest.
In addition to the Steampunk images, scope out this print of Reservoir Troopers (via Scrawl Collective) -- which is obviously a play off that famous scene from Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs. Awesome. Must have one. (Unfortunately, they're currently out of stock.)

A very wookiee Christmas
Based on an informal Cinematical poll of everyone who has ever seen Star
Wars, it is clear to us that the one resident of the Star Wars-iverse that fans would most like to
hear from during the holidays is Chewbacca. (Han Solo was second, just beating out Princess Leia. Lando finished a
surprising fourth, while Luke was actually dead last, behind even Jar-Jar.)Luckily for our staff, someone has already arranged some Wookiee-style Christmas wishes and placed them on the proverbial internets for the viewing and listening pleasure of all of us. Listening to Chewie's words, I feel as if the holiday really have arrived.
