I'm not supposed to be working right now (took the day off to celebrate getting older), but I just had to pop on and show you folks this hysterical video from Funny or Die. It's called I'm a Marvel .. and I'm a DC, and for anyone who thought those Mac/PC spoofs were getting old and tired ... definitely check this one out. In the video above, Iron Man and Batman square off in a fight ... of words ... to determine who's the better superhero. Stick with it, because they really get into it after awhile -- when Iron Man goes off on the Batman viral stuff, I just about lost it; same goes for the "at least kids can go see my movie" rant. Best part of the whole thing: they use action figures ... and the voice work ain't that bad. Who do you think has the better argument?

The insanely funny folks over at Funny or Die are at it again. While I'm not sure anything could be better than Jerry O'Connell's spoof of Tom Cruise, this new clip has it's own brand of funny. It's Heroes star Hayden Panettiere talking about sexual harassment. It's not the sort of thing that employs lots of comedic technique, but the young actress plays it seriously -- and it works. So much so, in fact, that it has helped remove some of my Claire aggression.

It leads me to wonder if the key to Hayden goodness is just the right director? This puppy was helmed by Mr. Judd Apatow himself, so it's not terribly surprising that this clip is worth the time. Although, considering the name of the site, Hayden's Claire could fight off any death if it wasn't! Check the clip out for yourself and sound off below.

Leave it up to the folks over at Funny or Die to post some sort of comedic video celebrating the end (we hope?) of the writer's strike that's practically crippled an industry. In a new video (as seen above), Rebecca Romijn pretends to be a news reporter interviewing Jerry O'Connell (as himself?) following an "alcohol-fueled" party O'Connell threw in which his entire neighborhood was destroyed. My favorite exchange came when Romijn asked, "Why did you throw this party, exactly?" To which O'Connell replies, "Because the strike is over." And Romijn goes, "And what does that mean." O'Connell responds, "They get two cents more ... I guess."

The video is kinda funny in that "So that's what these two are doing now" kinda way. As you know, in real life O'Connell and Romijn are husband and wife, which helps make their on-screen chemistry sizzle. Oh yes. It sizzles. And sparks. Sizzles and sparks. After all of the shocking and sad news yesterday, there's nothing like a refreshing laugh, or 50. I've enjoyed many of the Funny or Die shorts that have popped up, but this one is pure gold. This time around, Jerry O'Connell spoofs Tom Cruise's creepy Scientology video -- you know, the one Patrick Walsh blogged about, where Tommy reveals that he, and other Scientologists, are like an EMT/Jaws of Life combo for terrible accidents. (Oh, how I'd love to hear WHY.)

After watching this clip, my appreciation for the former Slider has increased exponentially. I could type away and share some of the jokes Jerry includes in this clip, but it's better to just see it for yourself. Suffice to say, if there is ever a Tom Cruise biopic, I want O'Connell to star. Enjoy!

Yes! Funny or Die is back with their first comedic masterpiece of 2008. I love it when they use Michael Cera for stuff, because when you stick him next to a maniac, you're almost guaranteed comedy gold. In the video above, watch as comedian/actor Zach Galifianakis interviews Cera for a fictitious show called Between Two Ferns. Poor Michael Cera. Will there ever be a video that features Cera abusing someone else? Everytime I see this kid in some viral piece, he's always on the opposite end of the joke. Sure, he's an easy target and that's part of his shtick, but it'd be nice to see him as the bully for once. So Michael, if you're reading this, please take on the role of badass in your next video. I want to see you punch someone. We all do.

Those boys over at Funny or Die are up to no good once again, and this time they've created a video called High-Five Hollywood (see above). Featuring folks like Will Ferrell, Mary Steenburgen, Ryan Seacrest, Milo Ventimiglia, Tim Meadows and Blake Lewis, the video follows a couple of guys who run around Hollywood high-fiving each other ... and then turning to look into the camera. I don't know why this is funny, but for some reason I'm still laughing -- and I watched it over an hour ago. If you're from Los Angeles (or at least familiar with the city), you'll notice tons of hot spots ... with the exception of the WGA picket line (would've liked to see some high-fiving over there). I take it from here on out, we'll see more videos of the boys high-fiving their way across the country. Check it out above, and let us know what you think.

By now you've probably watched a video or two over at the Funny or Die website (our own Patrick Walsh has a gem up there as we speak). The site, created by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, specializes in promoting comedic shorts, uploaded by users, who then try to spread the word and get their short as many votes as possible. The highest rated shorts -- or the shorts with the most buzz -- have a special section reserved on the site, and a fraction of those often wind up in Will Ferrell or Adam McKay's own top picks of the week. For the casual internet surfer, there's a ton of funny stuff on there -- stuff that's sometimes created by Ferrell and McKay themselves (see: The Landlord series) -- and now that successful duo has added a new partner to their team: Judd Apatow.

Apatow has already used the site to promote his viral marketing videos for Knocked Up and Superbad, and now it looks like he'll be coming onboard as another creative head -- a comedic mastermind, if you will. The three have already shot and uploaded a short of their own, announcing Apatow's involvement, which you can view here (or after the jump). In it, Apatow insists that he wants to add more hardcore porn to the website, while McKay and Ferrell argue against the idea. It's a little long, but pretty damn funny. I assume this means we'll be seeing shorts exclusively created by Apatow and his clan arrive on the site soon, some of which I'm sure will feature Ferrell and/or Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill ... you name em'. I think it's great that the current leaders in big-screen comedy have banded together in an attempt to produce the funniest stuff out there. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us down the line ...
