If you have a few minutes today I'd strongly recommend reading this fascinating five-page New York Times Magazine story on Megan Fox called The Self-Manufacture of Megan Fox. I know, you're not really interested in reading another "OMG, she said that!" article on the overly hyped, sexified actress, but this one is a little different. Yes, it touches on just about everything controversial that's crossed her plate -- from her much-publicized spat with Michael Bay to her longterm off-screen relationship with Brian Austin Green -- but it also digs beneath the surface and exposes the way in which she's sort of self-manufactured her own image depending on where she is and who she's speaking to in order to expand her brand, which, she'll admit, isn't the most glamorous or family-friendly, but it's what's keeping her working.

Fox admits that she got herself into the whole Michael Bay mess, and wonders why no one came to her defense when that nasty crew letter surfaced online ("I think it's because I'm a girl. They left me out there to be bludgeoned to death"). Another interesting fact was that they were going to include a Hitler/Michael Bay joke when Fox hosted Saturday Night Live, but dropped it because it wasn't appropriate. Fox explains, "They wanted me to do a Q. and A. with the audience for the opening monologue. And Hitler is in the audience. Hitler stands up and says, 'Why did you compare me to Michael Bay?' " Fox laughed. "Which is funny, but we can't do that."

It's not exactly original for someone to use this clip from the 2004 film Downfall and change around the dialogue. We've seen it countless times before, with the most recent being Hitler's reaction to the death of Michael Jackson. But the videos are only as good as the person writing the dialogue, and I'm sorry if you don't agree with me here -- but this one just cracked me the hell up.

In the video after the jump, watch as Hitler freaks out over the failure of James Cameron's Avatar trailer, comparing it to The Land Before Time 3 (among other things) with lines like, "He should have left the remake of Ferngully: The Last Rainforest to Lucas!" Thankfully not everyone is hating on Avatar as much as Hitler, and as our own William Goss and Jessica Barnes recently reported, the sneak preview footage in 3D was pretty fantastic to watch.

Will Avatar turn out to be the bomb Hitler thinks it is? Or will it redeem itself by wowing audiences in theaters this December 18? Guess we'll see ... but in the meantime, check out Hitler's hilarious Avatar reaction after the jump.

It's a bird, it's a plane ... no wait, it's Bryan Singer dodging more Superman sequel questions!

Pretty soon Bryan Singer will be doing a big publicity push for Valkyrie, and when that time comes look for folks to be bombarding him with Superman sequel scenarios ("Well what if you half-produced it and starred as a villainous mutant Hitler who wears an eye patch -- is that an option?"). After all, things are still way up in the air regarding further installments for a franchise that's ... let's just say stalled at the moment. MTV managed to snag a quick chat with Singer regarding Valkyrie and you betcha they snuck a Supes question in there. On whether he'll be directing, Singer says, "At the moment, I can't really talk about that. I wish I could. From my perspective, I'm going to take a brief pause. This movie has taken a long time, so I'm going to take a pause. A movie like that takes some time to do right. That's all I can say about that."

The good news? Singer "can't" talk about it, which means something is brewing and he'd love to share his opinion. Most likely the studio has him on "shut the hell up" watch, which probably means we won't get anything more with regards to Superman until a decision on where exactly they're going with this sucker is made. Interestingly enough, he does admit to having dinner with The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan. Says Singer, "We had dinner, and [Marvel Studios founder] Avi Arad ran into us. Isn't that strange? It was such a moment. The three of us were just sitting there thinking, "Isn't this bizarre?" I should have called ["Spider-Man" director Sam] Raimi up and said, "We've got sushi. Get over here!"

Tom Cruise meets Hitler after the jump!

Is it just me, or are Nazis really popular right now? Never mind, I know the answer. Still, it feels like just yesterday I posted about a new Nazi-based documentary called My Enemy's Enemy (it was last week, in fact), and just a few months ago, Martha mentioned a remake of The Boys From Brazil that's in the works. Add those films to the recent Hitler-centered Downfall, and you've got a ... well, nothing resembling a trend at all, actually. But considering we in America like to think of Nazis as being anything but real, distinguishable and human, these sorts of films are more striking than, say, Indiana Jones and the Latest Adventure Involving Faceless Nazis or any number of WWII movies.

The latest addition to this non-trend of real-life Nazi movies is Eichmann, which begins shooting in Hungary next week. The film focuses on the life of Adolf Eichmann, an SS officer who was "Transportation Administrator" for the "Final Solution", meaning he organized all the trains sending Jews to their deaths. Not only was he responsible for the killing of hundreds of thousands of Polish and Hungarian Jews, but he continued to carry out the Nazi's extermination plan even after Heinrich Himmler ordered its end. Like many Nazis, he fled to Argentina, and like Klaus Barbie, subject of My Enemy's Enemy, he was reportedly protected for some time by the CIA before being captured and put on trial. Eichmann will concentrate primarily on the his cross-examination by Israeli police officer Captain Avner Less with sequences from the war depicted in flashback.

Robert Young, who seems an unexpected choice for such serious drama after giving us Fierce Creatures and Splitting Heirs, is directing, and the two leads will be played by German superstar Thomas Kretchmann, playing his seventh Nazi officer, and Troy Garity. Also cast in an unrevealed role, is Stephen Fry.
