'The Incredible Hulk' Beats Up Harlem in New Set Pics

Although we still haven't been able to see what the new and improved Hulk will look like in action, thanks to a whole new batch of set pics, we now get a taste of the green monster's destruction. Some dude named Ronin Kengo snapped a bunch of pics that show Yonge Street in Toronto done up to look like the Harlem neighborhood of New York City. And let's just say said neighborhood appears to have had a very large beast stroll through for a little car crunching. The dude has all the pics up over on his blog, and my favorites have to go to the two of three that feature a smashed-up car sticking out the side of a NYC bus (one of which you can see to the right of your screen and click on for a larger version). Damn, I'd love to know how long it took to set that shot up -- nevermind what it will look like when the scene unfolds on the big screen.

Apart from the aforementioned "car sticking out of bus" photo, there are a few others which show a NYC street lined with cars that appear to have been stepped on by Hulk, as well as a shot of the famed Apollo Theater (not the real one, of course) and a few NYC-style shops (gotta include the pizza place!). Additionally -- and this should really excite you hardcore Hulk fans -- Superherohype confirms (via a Variety story I cannot find at the moment) that none other than Lou Ferrigno will have a role in The Incredible Hulk. Ferrigno, as you should be aware, starred as The Incredible Hulk back in the day opposite Bill Bixby's Bruce Banner. No word yet on who he will play, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's a character who, at some point, comes face to face with the green dude -- this way they can adequately play up the "Oooh, look at that cameo" moment. The Incredible Hulk will stomp its way into theaters on June 13.

You Knew This Was Coming ... First 'Indy 4' Set Pics (*See Update Below)

What appear to be the first pics from the still-under-construction Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods (aka Indiana Jones 4) set have just popped online. Taken from the Universal lot, the pics seem to show the entrance to some sort of cave, with what looks like the symbol of a golden lion welcoming visitors to a place where I'm sure Indiana Jones and his cohorts will eventually wind up. Could this be one of the temples where Indy goes searching for a crystal skull, as previously reported? Who knows. What I do know is that if I were you, I'd get ready for lots more Indiana Jones in the coming weeks. From what I hear, every movie site known to man is currently prepping for a pilgrimage up to New Haven, Connecticut at the end of this month where Steven Spielberg will be shooting some sort of chase scene through the streets and across the Yale campus. All we know right now is that Harrison Ford will be present, so chances are pics of the 60 year-old action star will begin flooding the internet in no time. (Personally, I want one of him going to the bathroom ... with the classic Indy hat still on!)

It's also been recently reported that filming will take place in Deming, New Mexico where, apart from dressing some locations up to pass as Morocco, it appears folks are also turning the Deming air strip into Nevada's Nellis Air Force Base. Not only is Nellis close to Area 51, but it was also a testing site for nuclear missiles back in the 50s. What does Indy have to do with Nellis? Why is he there? By the time the film finally comes out on May 22, 2008, I'm sure we'll have all those answers and more. Ah spoilers, what would we do without them?

*Like every other site, we got duped on this -- the pics turned out to be from National Treasure 2. If you can't trust a shady Czech website, who can you trust?

First Photos From 'Saw 4' Set!

Filed under: Horror », Lionsgate Films », Remakes and Sequels »

Fans of the Saw series will definitely want to pop on over to FEARnet for a quick second. That's where you'll find the first pair of on-set pics from Saw 4 ... plus we've been given just a little dollop of plot synopsis! Turns out that the Saw 4 story-line will continue with poor Jeff (Angus MacFadyen) as he tries to rescue his trapped daughter from inside another one of Jigsaw's death-filled dungeons. (And yes that audio tape does come into play!) Heck, who knew the Saw flicks would turn out to be a bona-fide soap opera?

The pics don't deliver any of that patented Saw stickiness, but you will get to see director Darren Lynn Bousman on set with actor Lyriq Bent, who will be returning for his third Saw soiree. Beyond that, we don't know a heck of a lot about Saw 4. New to the series are Feast writers Partick Melton and Marcus Dunston, and that should certainly add some new flavor to the series. But I prefer being kept in the semi-dark on these flicks. I actually didn't know what was coming in the Saw sequels, and I kinda like it that way. As expected, Saw 4 will hit screens right before Halloween. Domestically, the first one did $55 million at the box office. Part 2 made $87 million and Part 3 hit $80 million. Not bad for a trilogy that probably cost less than $35 million to produce.

Pics From Set of Frank Darabont's The Mist Online

Filed under: Horror », The Weinstein Co. »

Nice to know that after so many almost-starts, the movie version of Stephen King's The Mist is moving (quickly!) forward -- especially with a cast this solid and a director like Frank Darabont at the helm. AICN's Quint just spent four juicy days on the Mist shoot and he's come back with a whole bunch of very thorough reports AND some fairly nifty photos from the supermarket set.

I suppose it's fair game for Quint to dole out a few minor spoilers, considering that the Mist story has been in print for over fifteen years -- but if you want to enjoy The Mist as a totally new experience, I'd probably skip this report. As I've read this particular piece of source material (twice), I had no problem digging through the details of some minor characters and the presence of the Lovecraftian tentacle monsters. Check out the fourth and final set report to get your juices flowing on The Mist. I always get excited for big-budget monster movies, so this flick is already high up on my Gimme Gimme list. (And if you haven't read the source material just yet, I recommend that you do so.)

Movie Pics: Spidey 3 and Balls of Fury

Filed under: Action », Comedy », Fandom », DIY/Filmmaking », Comic/Superhero/Geek », Remakes and Sequels »

It's a good thing for people who have nothing better to do at three in the morning since they're the folks snatching pics from the set of Spider-Man 3, currently shooting in Brooklyn, New York. It appears the Brooklyn Record has a category set aside for all things Spidey, logging a number of photos from production in the Cobble Hill neighborhood. (Coincidentally, I was just looking for an apartment in the same spot and the prices are outrageous!) In the latest crop of pics, you can check out a sexy Kristen Dunst attempting to catch a cab. Also, in case you missed them before, there's a great catalog of images from last month's New York City shoot available online as well. [via Superhero Hype and The Movie Blog]

Screw Snakes on a Plane (Speaking of, did you catch the new trailer yet?), I'm all about Christopher Walken in Balls of Fury. I mean, the dude is playing a crime boss involved in the high-stakes world of underground ping-pong tournaments. Does it get any better than that? Seriously, does it? I don't think so. And, if these new images of Walken as said crime boss are any indication, this movie is going to rock. Seeing as Balls of Fury was written by the guys who brought us Reno 911!, I'm not surprised by the ridiculous outfits they have Walken wearing. If anything, it makes me want to see the film, like, right now.
