Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Go Unscripted

You enjoyed them for a long time on Saturday Night Live, and then one of these girls ran off to do her own show (the nerve!). But now Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are back together AND on the big screen in Baby Mama, which arrives in theaters on April 25. Both women sat down for one of those nifty Moviefone Unscripted segments recently -- ya know, the one where they interview each other with questions you submitted (through this very blog), as well as their own. Above you can check out an exclusive clip from their chat that's not included in the actual Unscripted installment. (And yes, to that boy picking his nose in the back corner -- that does mean you can only view it here on Cinematical.)

In Baby Mama, Tina Fey plays a straight-laced New York yuppie who desperately wants a baby, but is unable to conceive. Her only option is to bring on a surrogate mother (Poehler), but problems arise when that surrogate acts more like a child than a baby mama. So head on over to Moviefone's Unscripted area to check out their chat, which includes all kinds of tasty tidbits like what Amy Poehler wore to her prom, as well as which male celebrity Tina Fey would choose as her surrogate. Oh yes, it gets nasty. Enjoy.

Jason Segel and Kristen Bell Go Unscripted

If Jason Segel was a character on Heroes, what would his super power be? And speaking of super powers, which comic book character would Kristen Bell take on without even reading a script? You can get the answers to these questions, as well as watch Segel talk, at length, about his good friend Mr. Johnson, over at Moviefone -- where they've unveiled the latest installment in their very funny (and thought-provoking) Unscripted series, featuring the two stars of Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Above, you'll be able to see a special super secret exclusive clip from their chat that's NOT featured in the actual Unscripted session. Oh yes, that means you can only watch it right here ... on Cinematical. Aren't you glad you stopped in today? So listen to Kristen Bell mock Jesus Christ's comedic skills above, then head on over to Moviefone to see their entire chat. Remember, Segel and Bell are answering questions you left for them right here on this very blog, as well as mixing in some of their own. If you thought you knew everything about gratuitous male nudity on the big screen ... you have no idea.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
. April 18. Go!

George Clooney and John Krasinski Go Unscripted

I totally think it'd be fun to hang with George Clooney for the day. Not even for the attention, the women or the chance that Perez Hilton would write silly little things all over a photo of George and I. Fact is, the guy just looks like he has a good time with life (granted, good looks and millions of dollars probably help some). Above you will find an exclusive clip from Moviefone's latest Unscripted installment featuring Mr. Clooney and his Leatherheads co-star John Krasinski.

Not only did they ask each other questions YOU left for them right here on this very blog, but they also revealed plenty in the "unscripted" questions they asked one another. Who won a thousand bucks in a one-on-one basketball game behind the scenes: Clooney or Krasinski? Whose perfect date consists of drinking and yelling? And why do the boys care so much about Fifi from San Francisco? (Where are you Fifi -- you're a star now!) Check out the clip above, then head on over to Moviefone for the entire Unscripted interview. Fun stuff.

Leatherheads tackles its way into theaters on April 4.

Jim Carrey and Steve Carell: Ask 'Horton Hears a Who' Stars a Question

Horton Hears a WhoI never saw the recent movie versions of The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I mean, I'm sure they were funny and all, but Dr. Seuss' books, as well as the cartoon versions of his books (The Grinch, The Lorax), were just such the gospel to me when I was a kid -- still are, as a matter of fact -- that to interpret any of his work in live-action form seemed the height of sacrilege. (Except for the time Jesse Jackson read Green Eggs in Ham on Saturday Night Live. Whoever thought of that for a skit was either high, or a genius, or both.)

Well, it sounds like somebody's been listening to my inner nagging old lady, because Fox is remaking another Dr. Seuss book -- Horton Hears a Who! -- and this time, they're doing it ANIMATED. Hurrah! And, duh! Granted, they probably couldn't figure out a way to make the elephant look real, but I'll take my triumphs any way I can get 'em.

Teaming up for the second time (the first was Evan Bruce Almighty) are the comic dream team of Jim Carrey and Steve Carell: Carrey as Horton the elephant, who discovers an entire tiny city that exists on a speck of dust, and Carell as the Mayor of Whoville, the tiny said city that exists on said speck of dust. Oh, and a whole bunch of other people lend their voices to the movie, too ... like Carol Burnett, Will Arnett, Isla Fisher, Seth Rogen, and Amy Poehler, to name a few.

Now, a person's a person, no matter how small, but Carrey and Carell happen to be huge. And awesome. And side-splittingly funny. And it's not just because their last names are practically identical. We're delighted that they've agreed to sit for one of Moviefone's Unscripted interviews, in which they'll be interviewing each other using audience-submitted questions.

We need your questions to make it happen, though, and fast, because the interview's taping this Sunday (March 2). So submit a question by Friday for either Carrey or Carell below, and please be sure to include your name and the city where you live -- then check back here on March 10 to see if your question made it to air. Extra points if you write your question in anapestic tetrameter. Good luck!

Edited because Bruce Almighty was the one with Steve Carell in it; Evan Almighty was the one with the ark in it. D'oh!

Katherine Heigl and Edward Burns Go Unscripted for '27 Dresses'

Not long ago, Katherine Heigl was at the center of controversy after she had some choice words for the film that helped kick-start her big-screen career in a BIG way. That film was Knocked Up. And we had some choice words for her. Now, however, the gal is back in 27 Dresses, co-starring one of my favorite New Yawkers, Eddie Burns, and you can watch the two interview one another as part of Moviefone's latest Unscripted installment. After watching the video, I have to say Heigl is definitely back in my good graces. To say she's just a tad -- hmmm -- risque in this piece is a bit of an understatement. Case in point: Watch the part when they talk about Heigl's Emmy Award and the many different ways she utilizes it. I'd like to think she was joking. If not, then ... umm, yeah. Watch it yourself.

Their conversation doesn't stray too far from the movie, weddings, funky bachelorette parties and whether Heigl was a better kisser than Burns' wife Christy Turlington, but there's a fun, personal vibe there that's worth a watch. And for some reason, I came away from the whole thing with an urge to hang out with Heigl's father. Strange, I know, but you'll have to watch it to see what I'm talking about. 27 Dresses arrives in theaters on January 18, and you can check out their Moviefone Unscripted chat right over here.

EXCLUSIVE CLIP: Johnny Depp and Tim Burton on Their Working Relationship

We've already told you about Moviefone's excellent Unscripted video with director Tim Burton and his Sweeney Todd star Johnny Depp, but now Cinematical has an exclusive clip from their chat that was left on the cutting room floor. Ever wondered why Depp and Burton take on so many films together? How do they operate on set? Are they close enough to communicate with only their eyes? Interestingly enough, it appears the two men speak to each other in Vulcan -- which, of course, makes it that much easier to give and receive notes at a fast pace. Hmmm ... Vulcan? After watching the clip above, be sure to check out the full Unscripted interview over at Moviefone. It's extremely rare to watch Burton and Depp interview one another (using your questions, of which I believe we received roughly 1000 or more), so definitely take a few minutes and dive in. Use the video as a primer before heading out to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street when it hits theaters this weekend. Enjoy.

Keira Knightley and James McAvoy: Ask 'Atonement' Stars a Question

Keira Knightley and James McAvoy in AtonementIan McEwan's novel Atonement thrilled and devastated me when I read it several years ago. The story of would-be lovers Cecilia (Keira Knightley) and Robbie (James McAvoy), whose happiness is ruined by the false accusation of Cecilia's sister Briony (Saoirse Ronan and Romola Garai), stayed with me for days; I passionately recommended the book to everyone I know. Still do, as a matter of fact. Now, if only the person who borrowed my copy would give it back to me.

When I first heard there was going to be a film adaptation of McEwan's novel, my friends and I were all trepidatious. But one piece of good news followed another: two of Hollywood's hottest young actors, Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, would star; Joe Wright (who directed Knightley in Pride & Prejudice, a movie with which I'm shamelessly obsessed) was at the helm. And then the early reviews came in from the Toronto Film Festival, and they were as glowing as Knightley herself. (We're told McAvoy glows, too. But only in the dark.)

So with Atonement currently leading the Oscars pack, we've scored something of a coup: In just a week's time, Keira Knightley and James McAvoy will interview each other for Moviefone's Unscripted series using your questions. That's where you come in. Whether you're a fan of the novel, Knightley, McAvoy or all three, hit us with whatever you're dying to know, and then check out their Unscripted interview on December 24 to see if your question made the broadcast. Just think! Your words, in James McAvoy's Scottish lilt; Keira Knightley, thanking you -- yes, you, Joe Schmoe from Podunk -- for your insight. I sense some awesome ringtone and wallpaper possibilities here. I'm just sayin'.

To submit a question, you can leave it here in the comments, or you can text one to AskCelebs@aol.com (brought to you by Verizon Wireless). Please provide your first name and your city and state, and if you're looking for inspiration -- stunned into silence by all the beauty and talent facing you at once -- then take a look at some of our past Unscripted interviews here. Good luck!

Jerry Seinfeld and Renee Zellweger Go Unscripted

"'Blog' is the worst word of the 21st century," says Jerry Seinfeld during this latest installment in Moviefone's Unscripted series. And I tend to agree -- while I have no problem labeling myself as a movie blogger, the word "blog" is kind of disgusting, dirty in some ways, and not the prettiest of terms. For those not familiar with Unscripted, it's a fun little series where Moviefone sticks two celebs (who happen to be starring in the same upcoming film) together in a room, and film them asking questions to one another -- questions from you readers, as well as their own made-up-on-the-spot stuff. This latest round features Jerry Seinfeld and Renée Zellweger, stars of the new animated flick Bee Movie, which I happen to be seeing tomorrow night (and might I add that I've been looking forward to this one for awhile).

I happen to be a pretty big fan of Seinfeld (the TV show), as well as Seinfeld (the man). What can I say, I like the guy's honesty. When Zellweger asked him why he hadn't starred in anything since Seinfeld, the dude simply replied: "Because I'm old, rich and tired." The two talk a bit about the movie, about Seinfeld (someone asked Zellweger what character she would've liked to play on the show), and then they go on about a house Seinfeld rented while out in Los Angeles; a house that also happened to belong to Zellweger. If you submitted a question back when we first posted about this particular Unscripted, do swing by to see if they answered it. If not, then you may as well check it out just for the hell of it .. if only to hear about the job Seinfeld had before he hit it big. Enjoy.

'Resident Evil: Extinction' Stars Milla Jovovich & Ali Larter Go Unscripted

You might remember that back in August, Moviefone was looking for questions that Resident Evil: Extinction stars Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter could ask each other as part of the site's Unscripted series. Well, the questions were picked, the interview is now online, and I am very happy to report that they didn't go with the courageous "privates" question (check out the comments in the original post). Jovovich is looking ready to burst, as she's having fiance Paul W.S. Anderson's baby this fall, and Larter looks lovely, as usual.

But really, this isn't about how they look -- it's about their conversation and their butt-kicking movie. The actresses discuss some fluff, the perks of kicking butt, and potential future games. Milla says she did the flicks for her little brother, and after the second, she wasn't too into the whole Resident Evil experience. However, she says that the script was so good, it changed her mind. (PR or real opinion? You decide.) Of course, Ali also got a bunch of Heroes questions, but the best moment came when they discussed the possibility of Milla joining the show, and what Jovovich thinks her special power could be. Now that is something I would pay to see. Those of you who want to see the gals kick tons of zombie ass (is there a better way to spend Saturday night? I think not) -- the movie comes out this week.

Jonah Hill and Michael Cera Host a 'Superbad' Unscripted Session

Have I told you yet how funny and enjoyable Superbad is? I may have already mentioned it -- I dunno -- a gazillion times, but if this is the first you're hearing about it, then might I add that Superbad will go down as one of the best teen sex comedies in years. Yes, years. Not weeks. Not days. Not hours. YEARS! Since films like this one are pretty rare, Cinematical is giving it an extra push this week. Apart from two -- count em' two -- roundtable interviews and a review, I'm also happy to share this very funny Moviefone Unscripted piece with you. I'm a pretty big fan of these Unscripted things -- not because Cinematical and Moviefone hang out at all the same dive bars, but because they happen to be pretty damn amusing. And the one featuring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera asking each other reader-submitted questions is no exception; this thing cracked me up. (These are kind of like VH1's Unplugged, except, well, no one has a guitar.)

But maybe I just have a soft spot for Hill and Cera. These guys play off each other so well, it would be a real shame if they didn't team up on another film in the future. Now, it takes them awhile to answer each question (because they both throw out a ton of pre-question shtick), but when they do, it's gold. My favorite one had to be when Michael asked Jonah what his favorite sandwich is, only Jonah forces Michael to tell this really embarrassing story about how his jaw is all screwed up. Yeah ... I guess you kind of have to watch it yourself. So head on over to Moviefone, and let us know what you think. Superbad (rated R for "Run to your older sibling and beg them to buy you a ticket in") arrives in theaters this Friday.

Sundance Celeb Watch: Vera Farmiga

Vera Farmiga in JoshuaSunday was a jam-packed day in the Moviefone Unscripted studio on Main, where you couldn't turn around with bumping into a celeb. Lucky for me, I was hanging out there at just the right time to catch the exquisite Vera Farmiga, who was there to promote the film 'Joshua' with her director, George Ratliff.

Up until this past fall, Farmiga wasn't particularly well known despite having drawn universal raves for her work in 'Down to the Bone.' (For my part, I'd seen in last year's 'Running Scared,' and she was by far the best thing about that movie.) Then came 'The Departed,' and now she's finally in a position to bring attention to smaller films like 'Joshua,' a psychological thriller about a mother who discovers that her son's a "bad seed." (Rumor has it, by the way, that there's a bidding war afoot for this film, with Fox Searchlight currently in the lead. Updated: Fox Searchlight nabbed the film today.)

Farmiga looked lovely as she walked into the studio for the interview -- great jeans, cute little blazer, blond shoulder-length hair -- and I'm such a huge admirer that I made up an excuse to talk to her, like the dork that I am. (Me: "You want some water?" Her: "Yeah, that'd be great, thanks!") The interview itself, in which she and Ratliff chatted with each other about the film, went great. She very openly and easily talked about her desire to have a child of her own, and about the ways in which she and her siblings (she's the second-oldest of seven kids) used to torture each other growing up. It involved long streams of drool. They also talked so much about 'Down to the Bone,' which Ratliff and Scorsese both love and used as their basis for casting Farmiga, that I resolved to rent it the second I get back to New York.

When she introduced herself on-camera, incidentally, I learned that I'd been pronouncing her name wrong this whole time. It's Far-MI-ga, not FAR-miga. I can't quite get used to the proper pronunciation. Sounds a little too much like "formica" -- and Farmiga's way too cool to be associated with fake kitchen countertop material. But maybe that's just me.
